I liked the fist couple of books ... then they started going off on a different tangent and made me dislike the series.  Anyone else feels like it's time Charlaine Harris puts Sookie to rest?

I so agree. It should have ended at book.

The first couple of books were awesome but now most of the story focusses on what nail polish she uses, how she shops and what she buys...blah blah.

Haven't even started with book 12 because if it is anything like no 11, I might just throw my Kindle out the window.

I know the books have gone off track but I still love Sookie.
If Harris can get back to strong story line and not going into
everyone life story. Stay focus on Sookie, Bill, and Eric.

I'm pretty sure I read in an interview with Charlaine Harris that she is very near to concluding the series. I also think that she hinted at the unlikely case of Sookie ending up with Bill or Eric  :ohcrap: , but I'm thinking maybe Sam instead.
I used to LOVE this series, but Sookie has become so irritating, I stopped reading them at book 9 because I frickin' love Eric, and I'm really not a Sam fan, I could probably handle her ending up with Bill or even Alcide (maybe), but Sam? NO!! :-[

There is "NO WAY" sookie will end up with sam. Even though she saved his life with the box. I hope they kill her off only because it's something out of left field. Or her getting turned into a vampire.

I want her to end up with Bill!
I really don't like Eric being manipulative and I really don't think she should end up with Sam.

Then again, I'm so fricking annoyed I stopped reading the books. :(

Charlaine said Sookie won't get turned =[, and she was going to kill off Bill but someone let it slip (thank god).

I don't mind either Eric or Bill, but I doubt it, not that I'll be reading them anyway lol, but it would be good if there was a HEA.

Or [says hopefully] they could turn her then stake her...  It's like Evanovich for me, it just ran its course a while ago and needs shut down.   Steph and Snook are both worn out.

I still read the series, just for the sake of it (and because of Eric...) Isn't the last one coming out this spring? I suspect it is going to be a major dissapointment, especially after Deadlocked.

I also still watch True Blood (because of Alex Skarsgard :P) The last season was Hilarious  :D
