I'm definitely going to give this series a go.  I just read all the Jeaniene Frost Night Huntress books (apart from the one that came out today!) and loved them.  They were my first attempt at a Paranormal Romance series - I was tempted after enjoying True Blood on TV so much.

Thanks for the recommendation. :)

I am sure you will love them.   They are one of a kind.  I mostly read paranormal books.  And several of my fb reading groups kept suggesting them.  I finally started them and it seems i cant put them down. I have been up until midnight or after somenight reading them. I am actually reading the last one that is out now.  and i dread the last sentence because the next one dont come out until spring..
Happy Reading!!

I love this series as well along with the Immortals after Dark series, I find it amusing that they two authors are good friends as well. I personally think a couple other series were "inspired" by this one, take the Midnight Breed series as an example, it's basically the same type of story-line.

The recommendations listed here are good ones, they keep your attention even when the author goes to the cookie cutter plot (because if it works why change it :D).   I would also recommend Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian and Nightwalkers series by Jacquelyn Frank.

ok here's my little rant on BDB series....ready?

In my honest opinion JR Ward is probably the most original, awe-inspiring, creative author out there. No one really ranks up to her in my view. Now don't get me wrong Nalini Singh, Kresley Cole, Gena Showalter, and Sherrilyn Kennyon are up there too, but you just can't beat BDB. lol. Now for the suggestions:

Ava Gray
Jaquelyn Frank
Larissa Ione
Pamela Palmer
As well as the authors previously mentioned are all authors you want to try if your into BDB. They helped me get out of my After-Rhage(and pretty much all of the brothers..but mostly Rhage) funk. :)

Greatly enjoy the BDB series.  One of my favourites though it was hard to get used to the evil that always seem to stay one step ahead of the game!  Love Sherrilyn Kenyon and Gena Showalter as well.  If you enjoy BDB, you should also check out the Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian.  Another outstanding series!

Who's your favourite of the brothers?  Mine would be Rhage and Vishous.

I started reading midnight breed series and got addicted after that I read IAD and again liked it.After that I read a few more paranormal series. Finally when I found out that BDB was so popular so I decided to read.I started with the Rhage book ( please don't throw ur shoes at me ) and got bored so I stopped reading it in the middle. It was so similar to midnight breed series that's why I guess I didn't like it. Now please don't hate me for this confession :P

Like you could be hated for having an opinion!  :-* I started reading the books out of order too, but fell in love with the characters.

in march her new one comes out Lover Reborn....in the BDB series

EEEEEEEKKKKKKKK!

Lover Reborn snippets: (confirmed)

•   This one made Ward cry – a lot. It was very hard for her to write Tohr’s journey to a new love. She says we'll need lots of Kleenex.

•   No’One is Tohr’s HEA. Her name will be revealed.

•   In the beginning of this book, Tohr is still in love with Wellsie. Ward says that even though he physically may be attracted to someone, the heart and mind may take a while to follow.

•   Lover Reborn will take place over the course of one year, divided into four sections: spring, summer, fall and winter.

•   We will see more of the Brothers together in this book.

•   We will see lots of Lassiter. Ward says we will see a different side to him in this story.

•   Murhder will be back in this book.

•   There is lots of John Matthew and Xhex in this book. And they will have relationship troubles. (My guess is: it’s because of Murhderrrrrrr!)

•   Ward has hinted that Murhder might also cause problems between other ‘couples’ ( speculations vary from Butch/V to Layla/Qhuinn)

•   There will be a cohntest in this book. Ward has not said between which characters. (My guess is: JM vs Murhder.)

•   Ward has warned that Qhuay fans will not be happy with this book.

•   We will learn more about Layla’s HEA in this book, but Ward has warned not to jump to conclusions.

•   Lover Reborn will introduce a new character: Assail. According to Ward he is old school and he is the shit. She says he’s her favorite, after Zsadist.

•   There will be a three some in this book. (Yes: again. After Lover Unleashed and Envy, it seems that she just can’t get enough of them…)

•   We will see a character being inducted into the Brotherhood. Ward hasn’t said who and she’s not sure it will be in Lover Reborn or the next book. (My guess: JM.)

•   There will be a very hilarious scene with Rhage in Lover Reborn.

•   We will see more of the Band of Bastards in this book.

•   The names of the other (previously unnamed) Bastards: Syphon and Balthazar. One remains unnamed... unless it's Assail.

Also:

•    Lassiter will be getting his own book. Ward says she will keep him with the Brothers, but says his story might cross over to the Fallen Angels series.

•   Layla will finally lose her virginity (not confirmation if it happens in Lover Reborn). Ward said we won’t like who it will be with

•   We will see Qhuinn’s brother again. He might be a lesser.

•   Qhuinn has taken most of his piercings out as part of his quest to redefine himself. The piercings will be back though.

•    Jose de la Cruz, who will feature in the coming Fallen Angels and BDB books, will finally meet Butch! Sadly: he won’t remember anything Ward says that De la Cruz, while out for dinner with his wife, will spot Butch across the room, sitting with a beautiful woman (Marissa of course). De la Cruz will know that it’s Butch. Who then will proceed to wipe his memory clean.
