Book: Fake Me A Match by Lauren Barnholdt
Genre: YA - Middle grade romance / drama
Rating: 3 out of 5 (***)

My Review:
This was a nice, cute and light read. It was funny and made me laugh out loud in a lot of scenes. It also provided an insight into inner psyche and ramblings of a 13 year old. There were times Avery (MC) would go on and on about nothing specific just ranting. I found it a bit annoying at times. Also Avery going back and forth about Sam also got on my nerves.
I've read other books of  Lauren Barnholdt like Two-way Street and Sometimes It Happens. Those both books were waay better than this one. But probably b'coz this book is for much younger readers, and that came as a surprise for me. Having read Lauren Barnholdt's other books which were not really for that much of younger readers, I didn't see this coming and that probably counted towards my 3 stars, since I had much higher expectations.

Overall, it was not a bad read and would recommend it for middle grade age readers and also if you are looking for a cute and light read.

I had the same thoughts on this one when I read it. Personally I hope Lauren Barnholdt comes back with a novel set towards a slightly older audience, because I really enjoy her books.

Yep...I loved her two-way street very much. I didn't even see this coming...this should have had some kind of warning or something, so we don't go in with high expectations.

Hey Meidinah...I don't usually read books for younger adults (more like older teens are my kinda thing). I didn't know this book was for younger audience or I probably wouldn't have read it. So I don't have many recommendations, except few like "First Kisses" series from various authors. Also all Rachel Hawthorne books. I used to like these books when I was in that phase.

I can also help you with GR. Whenever you look up a book in GR like let's say you go to "Fake Me A Match" book on GR You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login you can see "similar" book recommendations on your right hand sidebar when you scroll down a bit. You can do that with other books like this to get more book suggesions.

Let me know if I can help :) Happy Hunting.
