The Golden Lily

Man, The Golden Lily was such a heart breaker for me. I was SO rooting for the whole Sydney-Adrian thing, but nooo, she's gotta be all stubborn. Sydney wants him and she knows it. I will DEFINITELY be getting The Indigo Spell midnight on February 13th 2013- ugh I know. 2013. It was an overall good book. The last chapter had me clinging to my desk. What'd you guys think? Bt, who is that other guy on the cover of The Indigo Spell? No competition please, Richelle. Nevermind. Adrian will always have her, it doesnt matter what her beliefs are.

I rated it 3 star. I didn't like it very much. It bored me to some points. I read it for two weeks and I convinced myself that I should finish it just to moved on to my other TR books.

I love VA so I read Bloodlines. But well, I've rated the books 3 stars.

I looooooved that book as well! I'm all for Sydrian. I love Adrian so much, glad he has Sydney. But apparently The Indigo Spell is going to be hotter and steamier... says the author, Richelle Mead on her twitter page. The guy on the cover is Marcus Finch - the guy who's apparently defied the alchemists. He's in Chapter 16 of The Golden Lily, and Clarence says he's a few years older than Sydney. Richelle Mead might actually make him another love interest, but I bet in the end, she'll stick with Adrian. ;)

This one I find boring!
So much things in the book we don't need!
Just need to get on with action and keep readers interested!

Ah, a new reader it seems.
I too wanted, subconsciously, some action while we went through this one but then I remembered that Sydney is not a fighter and won't survive a minute out there. Her specialty is taking things on with a mental approach. She is more words than actions, unlike Rose.
Though I kind of agree with the rest of your review. This one had really felt like a filler.

Newer here but reader for a long time!! :)

Yeah we know Sydney is not a fighter but the books do not always revolve around fights.
Starting from the beginning to the end what really happened?
Nothing much!

I know that there have to be sequences but some of them I could not wait for!
Personally, not so excited about the next book.

I agree that Golden Lily isn't much but The Indigo Spell, also tinted with some of the similar boring feel behind it, is much better and progresses the plot very nicely. Give it a try and if you still don't like it, at least you can say you tried.
