Book title help?
« on: February 18, 2013, 11:36 AM »
I was wondering if anyone could help me... A few years ago I was in my english class and this guy mentioned this murder mystery book where the protagonist/main character who I believe was narrating the story ended up being the killer and the reader didn't find out until the end of the story. I've tried to look for it on google or whatever but that is all I know about the book and haven't been successful in my attempts to find it. If someone could point me in the right direction I would be so grateful!

Thanks so much! :)

I've read a book like this where the narrator during almost the entire book is in 3rd person, but in a few moments there were some paragraphs (before each chapter if I'm not wrong) where the killer herself narrated it. Its title is Running Blind (UK The Visitor) by Lee Child.

The only thing that comes to mind is:  The Killer Inside Me by Jim Thompson

What you are talking about is considered an unreliable narrator in fiction.  Here's a list of books with that type of narrator:  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
