Fairy Tales! :)
« on: May 30, 2012, 11:06 PM »
I am really into reading fairy tales or prince charming related books at the moment, I devour them!  ^-^ Maybe it is my need to get away from my studies! :P

Here are some that I loved: Ella Enchanted, Princess of the Midnight Ball, The Selection, etc...

I just downloaded Cinder and Enchanted..

All of you can pitch in and make a great list!

Also, I am requesting Princess of Glass if anyone can find it for me.. :( I would love to read it.. Please and thank you! If any of you need one of these, I will try my best to find a link for you! :)

Ohhh I love retellings! Um, there's Beastly by Alex Flinn, A Kiss in Time also by Alex Flinn, Fairest by Gail Carson Levine, and Wild Orchid (forget who this is by but it's a retelling of Mulan and i really liked it).

And by the way, STP is no longer allowing ebook sharing.

Mercedes Lackey has a series of books that are re-tellings of fairtales (YA book). It's her Five Hundred Kingdoms series. It has six books and a novella (so far). I've read up to book 5 and I've enjoyed all of them.

goodreads has all of the books reviews: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

ALSO - sharing of books is no longer allowed on STP. Please read this thread: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I finished Belle, it was great! It is about Beauty and the Beast..

Also, I have heard great reviews but have not had the opportunity to read it yet although I have it, it is called Entwined, about the 12 Dancing Princesses..

Hmmm If you like retellings of Beauty and the Beast maybe you'll like Robin McKinley's Beauty? In this one the backstory is a little different but its ALL GOOD I assure you :) Oh and its under YA  ;)

Jennifer Ashley - Nvengaria - 01  - Penelope And Prince Charming

His blue eyes beguiled. His muscular form could have satisfied any fantasy. He had a delicious foreign accent -- and to top it off, he was royalty! What woman would dare refuse the most sought-after lover in Europe?

Miss Twice-a-Jilt Penelope Trask, that's who. And, unfortunately for Damien, marrying Penelope is the only way to inherit his kingdom. Good thing this enchantingly infuriating woman doesn't seem completely immune to his many charms. The passionate way she returns his kisses tells Damien he isn't the only one head over heels. But wooing is difficult amid assassination attempts, wild magic, and desire so strong it threatens to overwhelm him every time they touch. Why had no one mentioned the road to happily-ever-after could be so difficult?
