Author Topic: Getting a book that was released in the UK from the US (Read 3600 times)

I've been waiting for the sequel to one of my favorite books, Infinite Days since I found out there would be another book. It is called Stolen Nights and is by Rebecca Maizel. The first one came out 2010 and the next one has been pushed back time and time again and now will not be released until 2013!!! Really? Ugh! Anyway I found out (call me stupid cause I guess i never really paid attention enough to realise there were different release dates for different countries) that the Uk release date was July 5 and was super excited. I tried going to Amazon etc.. to order it, but it won't allow me to unless I have a UK address and credit card with said address. Does anyone have any ideas how to get around this or have the ebook they'd be willing to share (e-mail) with me? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Or you can go get a prepaid credit card.
Log into Amazon, change your "Country" to UK.
Find a UK mailing address and change yours to that.
Enter the prepaid CC and buy it that way.
At least that's what I have heard.

I have done exactly what Drypen suggested many times and it works really well. I just went to the white pages for the UK and looked up someone with my same last name and used their address. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Omg! Thanks so much you guys! That website looks like it will work out. I just tried to add the book to my basket and it worked. I will go back and look to see if I can get the ebook instead, but either way I am excited! The Amazon info is great as well. I tried switching countries etc.. with no luck before and had thought about the pre-paid credit card, but the address was the stopping point. Duh! Never even thought about your suggestion. =)
