I need a title to a book that I can't seem to remember who wrote it or the title!
I've been giving my mother suggestions to read and I recently suggested to her Lord of Scoundrels and she read it, and I was under the assumption that it was a different book than it was. But when I asked her about one part in it, she said she had no idea what I'm talking about.
So it has been eating me alive that I can't remember this other book!
It is a historical romance, and I believe this is the plot.
There is a hero and heroine, and the hero is super messed up (terrible childhood I think), and then the heroine is sweet and innocent.
I keep mixing Lord of Scoundrels with this book because I thought that the heroine brought a child into the picture, his son, and she wanted to raise him and he was FURIOUS! He wanted nothing to do with him...but idk if this is even in this other book anymore!
Now this other book I remember particularly:
He is some sort of royalty I think, (duke, earl, baron, idk) They get married and he doesn't want to open his heart to her, (i dont remember why they get married), and then (the son might come into the picture here) and he wants NOTHING to do with him. after a fight with the woman, he gets hit or he faints, and he is transported to the past as his great-great-great grandfather(or some other ancestor) and he has to pick between 300 women (or some other number) to become his bride. And then the girl from the future is there, in line, and he chooses her and he tries to talk to her and ask whats going on but she doesn't understand because this is the past. And then it all plays out and he loves her and she loves him (in the past) and they have a life together until something happens and he goes to jail and she ends up living in a nunnery or something I think with a child. He comes to the present and he realizes that they are soulmates and he just is regretful and stuff and they are ready to be together and (if the son is there then he goes up to the son and realizes how much he loves him and all that good stuff).
This might be like 5 books in this synopsis.
AH, please help me!
The going into the past thing should help because that is a TRUE scene to the book!
I believe when he goes to the past he is good friends with very big royalty like a king or something like that!
Let me know if you come up with anything!
