My Kobo died
« on: November 03, 2012, 11:27 AM »
OK, I need some advise, my Kobo died, it's 6 months old, Kobo is sending me a new one and I have to send the old one back to them,  after I get the new one.  My paranoid husband says, I will be in trouble for having some books on there that were shared, that Kobo will be able to know that and that I will get in trouble, I say no way, what does anyone else think.  By the way, the Kobo is frozen, no way to get on it to delete anything, I have some books that I purchased through Kobo, Books On Board, etc, but some are definitely shared.

Advise please and thanks!

I doubt it. How can they prove you downloaded them illegally? Even most publishers understand that you may have different devices.

But if your worried take the battery out & leave it out. That will probably clear everything.

I know right? She's usually downloading books from my harddrive as she's telling me this stuff too.  :D :D

They don't want us. We aren't trying to make $$ off of illegal sales of these books.
