Need help remembering the title & author of a book..
« on: April 06, 2012, 02:55 PM »
I'm getting so old...I read an awesome book, and wanted to re-read it and look for more from the same author. Problem is that I can't remember the name or author :-[ :-[ :-[

A woman that studies wolves is sent to a town to research the wolves in the area. She meets 6 (I think) men on motorcycles at the cafe and then finds that they're staying at the same campground. The men are all alpha werewolves from different packs, who are sent to investigate and eradicate a group of rogue wolves. Turns out the alpha of the rogues wants to mate with the researcher.

Sound familiar?  Help!

Is it Terry Spear perhaps? -Seduced by the Wolf- sounds similar.

Here is the description for Wolfen by Madelaine Montague:

As engrossed as Danika generally is in her work, even she notices the underlying hostility with which the locals in the small northwestern town regard her and her research. She notices the biker gang that arrives shortly behind her even more. With their long hair, tattoos, and piercings, the rough group of bikers aren't the sort of men she's ever had contact with-and shouldn't want to have contact with-but they don't seem to grasp that they're not her type and she isn't theirs.

Hello,

I have read this book as a teen, some 15 years ago, and for the love of God, can't remember the name of the book or the names of the characters. It's always stayed in my memory as that was my first romantic novel and something I want to read just to relive those days. I would hide under the table to read such books, as the covers were scandalizing and of the fear of being caught reading them.

I am not sure of the entire plot, but  I recall is this passionate lovemaking scene penned by the author, about the actress tying the hero to the bed, and entering his chambers to give him a wash, and how; he has already undone the ropes tied, but does not disclose this. The actress, thinks that as he is tied, and to teach him, a lesson starts making love with him, but what starts as a plan to teach him a lesson ends up being a total ravishment  of the heroine. If I am not mistaken this was either to do with being kidnapped and asked to work on the ship by the hero to earn her passageway, or it was to do with taking revenge.

It's been years now, and I have tried searching it through different web search but unfortunately, am unable to trace or get the name of the book, and I am really keen on reading it once again.

I would really appreciate, if anyone could help with the title of this book, and also share the pdf copy.

Thank you.

i read the same book, at least i think its the same ;) anyway after reading your scene im pretty sure its johanna lindsey, captive of my desires

heres the synopsis - Gabrielle Brooks sets sail from England to a Caribbean island in search of her estranged father and encounters a life-altering surprise—her father is a pirate! After spending three wonderful years hunting treasure with him, Gabrielle is dismayed when he decides she must return to London to find a proper husband. His old friend James Malory will sponsor her in polite society. Gabrielle is escorted to balls and parties by James’s wife, Georgina, and her brother, Drew Anderson, a dashing American sea captain and fun-loving rogue. When Drew embroils Gabrielle in a scandal the night before he’s to sail home, the pirate’s daughter vows revenge by commandeering Drew’s ship and taking him prisoner. But as passion runs high on their sea voyage, it becomes difficult to tell who is truly the captor and who is the captive.

do you know how i can attach it? i have it in mobi format x

Thanks Kirballsorts, that's absolutely great, and I do hope its the same book. I am not sure, how to attach books here, but don't worry; I'll search if the pdf version is available on the site and download it.

Furthermore, do you know of any interesting books, based on kidnap, hostage, where the hero ultimately falls in love with the heroine, do let me know. It's been years, that I haven't read this kind of books, and it would definitely be worth a read, now that I have my kindle :)

Hi all,
I've been looking for this forever n hope u can help.
I read it more than 5yrs ago, It's historical romance, set in England ( I think earlies like b4 16th century) don't remember the hero/heroine names but he seeks hospitality at this castle he opens the door n the girl standing by the fire place her dress catches  on fire he puts it out n when he sees how beautiful she is wants her. Asks her dad to marry her, the father gets him drunk n marryes him to the oldest sister instead ( cause he's superstitious n thinks they have to marry in order of oldest), when he wakes up he asks her if the slept together n she says yes ( her mom died when she was young n she's ignorant thinking sleeping next to each other is what he means). He takes her away to his home hating his marriage,
Anyway later on he loves her but the middle sister visits decides she wants him n tries to push her sister over a cliff, the middle sister dies and I'm sure there is a second book about the youngest sister. I remember the hero is afraid of thunder. That's all I remember
Always read something that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.
