I'd Like to view these but I just get a blanks screen and a small picture gif in one corner.  What do I need to do to see them?

Thanks, leni
P.S.  I'm in the UK does that matter?

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login - Michael Moore

Once you view them let me know what you think :)
P.S. If you can't view them on youtube either let me know also and i'll copy them on my channel and remove any restrictions and make the viewing closed so that you can watch it and after you finish i can remove them ;D

Hi there,

As soon as I clicked on your external links the site told me I needed a new version of Adobe Flash Player installed.  So I went off and did this and when I came back to this post I can see your screens in the OP.  I guess that downloading Flash player or a new version has solved the problem.

Thanks for your assistance.  Now i may also be able to watch the video tutorials on STP too.

Luv ya, Leni

Oh, I never saw the others, I just know Gaiman. Neil Gaiman was one of my inspirations for becoming an author actually. It is so great to see that there are some out there that do get it. Internet is simply another medium. I admit, I've recorded shows, listened to the radio, watched youtube. In fact watching youtube is one of the things that get me hooked into searching and buying other things.

I grew up when fanfiction.net was in it's infancy. I was one of the first posters that was there when it opened (it wasn't separated from fiction/fanfiction yet.). I was astounded! :o People were creating stories to share without paper or pen? Not only that, OMG, you could see how many people liked you or your work through reviews?! The internet is not stopping commerce. A lot of people don't get that, but I hope one day they do understand. This is an INCREDIBLE time to be in! ;D

What Neil Gaiman said about the "free" ebooks introducing people to authors that they never even heard of, and maybe never would, helps authors to get more recognition, advertising.
One of many examples - I accidently  came across C.L. Wilson and her Tairen Soul series, by reading first book for "free" and falling in love it that led me loving the series and i bought complete series (5 books) in hardcover.
On the other hand there are several books i bought (around $10 each) that are terrible, but no Author nor publisher would give me money back for bad product quality.

  • Better to ask forgiveness than permission
Neil Gaiman has spoken. What now, grouchy authors?
"Whose job is it to answer the door?"

"Why, what questions has it been asking?"

  • ^if you got detention, that's the way you do it!
This is great! Thanks for sharing the other links. Its nice to know that there are people who can look at the positive side of ebook sharing.  :-*
Wrath to Butch: That's you. You shall be called the Black Dagger warrior Dhestroyer....
Rhage: But you'll always be Butch to us, as well as hard-ass. Smart-ass. Royal pain in the ass... I think as long as there's an ASS in there, it'll be accurate.
Zhadist: How about bASStard?

^LOL :P

Oh, I totally remember the early ff.net. Remember when aff.com (adultfanfiction.net ) was first seperated away from fanfiction.net? And being wow'ed by all the writing of fans of different things and the sharing. One thing I thought was neat is that people were writing and sharing fan-fic way before the internet; in snail mail amateur zines and I know that I used to write short stories featuring my celeb crush du jour as a tween and teen on paper between classes which I'd share with my friends including a TMNT story written in the form of a play which our study hall teacher let the class read together during a slow hour when we had no homework. That was fun. And once I found a handwritten short story my own mother wrote as a teenager about the Beatles. So, no matter what, there will always be creating and sharing. It began with cave art shared with other cavefolk.

My cousin's a missionary in Malaysia and her mom and I would hit the .79 cent bin at the junk store looking for books to send her family. I can email her books but they are up in the mountains in the middle of nowhere and it takes forever for stuff to upload. She can literally click on a pic on facebook, go to the restroom and comeback and it still hasn't loaded.

Some of it's country restrictions vs publisher as well. We are very luck in the US and UK IMO.
