Used Books store
« on: September 23, 2012, 03:19 PM »
Before ebooks, one of my favorite placMes was an used book store.   I could take my books there, run an account of comings and goings, and buy used books cheap.   Ebooks come along, which I love by the way, and now you cannot share those books, or even resell them anymore.  Two  words,  not fair.  I am still reading the same authors, but now I cannot share or even trade.  If  I could share when the book was tangible, why not now?  Someone needs to come up with better laws that protect the buyers rights, too.  My rights have been restricted when I buy an ebook.  I wants them back.

True but you can get so many free books from a number of good sites that you never have to buy an ebook if you don't want to.  You just have to be prepared to keep a sharp eye out because a lot of authors will give away their books for a short time only.  The bonus is that you no longer will be buying books that get or are musty.  Some of the Amazon books I believe are lendable too.

Please excuse any spelling errors.   I have dyslexic fingers!

With Amazon and BookLending.com, I can only borrow 1 book per month and lend any book only once during the whole time I "own" the book. :(
