Ems, I don't remember CA being that hard to get into, though, for me, all of CCs books are of a slower pace compared to some other from the genre.
But, perhaps you should start Obsidian, everyone's gone nutters about it. Daemon is THE hottie atm. :P

I finished Obsidian in a matter of hours. LOL I'm on to Everneath now. I really need to get that read and reviewed for netgalley.
I didn't like the Mortal Instruments series so maybe I just don't like that author. I was barely able to get through the first book.

Obsidian was my first alien book...never thought I'd like a book about aliens or zombies but I love both! SO glad I took the time to read Obsidian!

I actually just finished "Shattered Souls" by Mary Lindsey. Oh, the cover as well as the story line is absolutely gorgeous. I can't stop thinking about it and I'm honestly so upset that there is no sequel. I can't help but yearn for more!! I definitely recommend it. I plan to read "Obsidian" next &I hope it helps soothe my craving caused by Shattered Souls.

A book with no sequel?! Whaaaat?! That's pretty much unheard of these days!

No, couldn't get past the first couple chapters. Way too slow! I have to have something that grabs me from the very beginning.  I have too many other books to waste time on a boring one LOL

Ok that answers my question.  Disappointed to hear it is though because I did like the twilight series.

I thought The Host was better. And I loved the Twilight series.

I read Ashfall by Mike Mullen. Yuck! So boring! No drama, no suspense, no action, no romance...nothing! I just don't get how it got more than 4 starts on Goodreads.

Last night I devoured Flat Out Love by Jessica Park. I have no idea why I loved it so much but I did. I couldn't go to bed until I finished it.

I'm not sure what's next on the list...

How did you finish this? I had stop half way through. I couldn't stomach it at all!

Am currently reading The Dust of 100 Dogs by A. S. King, and I'm really enjoying it.

Just got done reading the Aislyn Grey Series, they were ok. I think Fifty Shades of Grey has ruined me for any other books for a bit.   :(  Sad I know, even Obsidian and the ever loved Daemon couldn't pull me from my Fifty and Christian. SIGHHH My husband is happy I can't find anything to read right now because he thinks I may actually get some Christmas presents wrapped tonight if I don't. Shows you how much he knows....
