I use aldiko app for my Samsung Tab. But now I'm more using my Kindle app. I mass convert books from epub to mobi in my laptop then put it all in my tablet. :)

Yeah, I would go with Aldiko it's a great eBook reader app.  I have it install on my SGSII and use it sometimes when I'm on the go and don't have my Sony PRS-350 eReader with me.  The best thing about it is you don't have to sync it with Calibre or any other computer based app before using it.  You can just install Aldiko, then copy your ebooks over and import them onto Aldiko using it's user interface.

You could still read the books even if you don't import it in aldiko. Just click open and not import. :) but I suggest importing it since it's really nice to see the books in shelf sporting their pretty covers. :azn:

personally I don't like Aldiko, it's soooo slow!!!! fbreader is the one I use, because it's not light. I have it on my Samsung Galaxy Tablet and my Kindle Fire. am extremely pleased with it. Aldiko was making me mad! lol!

 :iagree:

I downloaded Aldiko for my tablet because Fbreader does not open PDF files.
The user interface is nice and all but reading a PDF at this pace is frustrating.

Can anyone of you recommend a good PDF reader that works similar to Fbreader?

For reading pdfs I would recommend something like ezPDF Reader.  It might not be pretty but it gets the job done.

I've used all the ereader apps and now that I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, I am only using 'Moon+ Reader', I was using the free version but recently switched to the 'Moon+Reader Pro'  version - this app reads all formats, epub, pdf, mobi, chm, cbr, cbz, umd, fb2,txt, html, rar, zip and OPDS, comic books also, including .pdf and also allows you to fill out .pdf forms.

This one fantastic book reader app.  Very customizable for your reading enjoyment.

I agree, I love the Moon+Reader app. I too, used the free for a bit then sprung for the paid version. My only complaint with it is it's kind of a pain to get back to my bookshelf, but that's probably something I'm doing wrong.

I also like Aldiko ok, but it's not as customizable as Moon+, and it doesn't have the ability to have an on-screen clock. I also prefer the way Moon+ tells me how much (time AND pages) I have left in a book.

Moon+ usually does ok with PDFs too, but I do notice it does better with some PDFs than others. I usually just convert them to mobi with mobipocket creator, unless it's an image heavy book.

I thought I just commented here but it's probably an error. I just read this post about having PDF problems with moon + reader pro and other apps after just commenting on solving my PDF problems so I'll copy and paste:  Mantano Reader Premium, It has one of the best
PDF support systems I've found
amongst android E-readers, and
what tops it off is the ' one
column display' or the 'single
column view' feature, so there's no
need to scroll back and forth and
zoom unnecessarily. I've been
looking for that forever so than
k you. The customization is cool
too and I really like the adjustable
shelf feature. O epub is also
supported Which for me, makes it
all the better.
I hope this helps although I'm Not certain Which devices Mantano Reader is compatible with I know it works Well with Android OS
Literature is my Utopia. Here I am not
disenfranchised. No barrier of the
senses shuts me out from the sweet,
gracious discourse of my book friends.
They talk to me without
embarrassment or awkwardness.
