Moon+ reader, e-reader
« on: June 20, 2013, 06:23 AM »
Just sharing: I've recently downloaded Moon+ reader on my android and I just want to say its amazing for those of you who may be looking for an ereader or just want to update to a better ones. It supports epub, mobi, txt, html, umd, fb2, chm, cbr, rar, zip, opds and (pdf- pro version only). Customization is amazing and the features are endless. O and if you happen to open a format it doesn't support such as .doc or .docx it automatically reroute you to a program on your device that does support that format and opens it for you. Check it out, its amazing.

I will say Fbreader is the best ereader you can have for android.
Moon+ reader is just good enough.
Then Mantano reader is also quite nice and so is Cool reader.

I use ibooks on my iPad but have since discovered an app called Marvin.  Marvin has many better features so now I tend to use both.
Please excuse any spelling errors.   I have dyslexic fingers!

Does anyone here know enough about Moon+ reader to know why it sometimes lists time left in book as WAY off? Like the book I'm reading now, 300ish pages, usually takes me about 5 hours or so, but it says 50 hours left? I don't leave it sitting open, I've tried deleting and reloading the files, tried loading them different ways, cleared cache, restarted the Tablet, everything.

I think there, might be some bug, you can report it to the developer.
or you can try reading few pages, it might correct it.

I have tried the FB reader and it doesn't suit my tastes so much, however, the Mantano Reader is amazing though it only supports 2 formats. It has one of the best PDF support systems I've found amongst android E-readers, and what tops it off is the ' one column display'  or the 'single column view' feature, so there's no need to scroll back and forth and zoom unnecessarily. I've been looking for that forever so than
k you. The customization is cool too and I really like the adjustable shelf feature.  O epub is also supported Which for me, makes it all the better. I'd also recommend this app.

Moon reader is a great e-reader app especially for pdf files. There's a lot of features, i usually used it reading on night mode.  The only downside is you can't see book description unlike in FB reader. I tried aldikoreader once, but it just duplicates copies of my book. What other e-readers for pdf you guys can recommend?

Zhadist: How about bASStard?

installed mantano reader premium today. Just want to ask, does it really blurred when you changes pages or scrolled down, cause mine does (for a bit of maybe 2 seconds) , i don't know if this is my phone's fault but it works just fine with moon+reader or is it the app? Tell me guys if its natural, oh, i'm reading a pdf file. haven't tried opening an epub yet using mantano.

I don't think so, maybe due to your phones hardware.
I use it on samsung galaxy tab 2 and everything works fine.

I did some tweaks on the settings, just change the display and it works now. Yeah it must be the phone's hardware. I also have a tab and mantano reader is great to use in landscape setting.

Has anyone else ever had a problem with Moon + pro not working on certain files in the night time theme? It happened to me for the first time a few nights ago, I usually use the blue on black Night theme, but with this particular file, no matter what theme I used, the words wouldn't turn to anything but basic black, making it impossible to see on any of the darker screened themes. Figured it was an isolated thing, read on the daytime theme, then switched back on my next book.

And then last night it happened again on another book! And it really hurts my eyes to read on the day theme in the dark, not to mention waking up my husband.
