Syncing iBooks and kindle books from ipad to iPhone
« on: February 27, 2013, 07:08 PM »
:) well first of all thank you dear reader for having the intentions to help me. Now to my problem: I have a large collection of novels in my ipad in iBooks and the kindle app and there is a tab option for syncing and the cloud space on both apps that are suppose to let u upload content to use in various devices. I want to be able to move all my novels to my iPhone but I can't. It only lets me with the novels I have bought. So how to I move my books from my ipad to my iPhone?

I'm not an i-fan, nor do I own an iPad or iPhone, however, I have a friend that does and we've shared some titles.

If the books are downloaded from here, and don't have DRM, we found the simplest way was to email the book files; open the email on the iPhone, and download the file... your phone should find the app it needs to read the title (either iBooks or Kindle for iPhone app, depending on file type)...

A while back I deleted all the books from iBooks and when I added back a random book, all the deleted books appeared from the iCloud back up. I don't think that works from device to device (iPad --> iPhone) but I could be wrong, never had to try. Kindle only store your purchases in the cloud, if I'm remembering right.

I always keep my books in Dropbox so I can access it 100% of the time and for all my devices whether via my laptop or from the dropbox app.
