It was with the story The Other Way by Honeybeemeadows. With all the other stories on ff there was never a problem. I din't even know writers could block their own stories from downloads.

I just used the FanFicFare downloader in Calibre and it worked great for me. I was able to grab this story no problem.

Hello everyone. I wanted to share a app I found in Google play store. It's called Codex Reader. It works with ffn, ao3 and ffp. If my laptop is down, I have to use my phone to download ff. If you save your stories in the app, depending on what type of phone you have the stories automatically update itself. You have the option of making a epub from this app. This app has not let me down yet, even when other downloaders have. It's also free. There's two different apps.
Be sure to download the one with the green and blue background, If the link fails.

Can anyone recommend a program for downloading stories from FictionPad?  For FFN I usually use FanFictionDownloader, but it doesn't seem to work for FictionPad.

Thanks

I use fanficfare in Calibre and it works on fictionpad for me. I think they have a stand alone version as well.

Thank you - I was able to do it without Calibre on my laptop and it worked fine.

PDF's don't convert well to EPUB, so I went looking for a solution. What I did was convert the PDF to word and then followed the instructions at the website linked below and it worked out great. Looks like a true epub and not a converted pdf.

Of course, if you already have it in word, then that is one less step to do.

Thank you for that. It's always good to have options. I use Moonreader. It will read all formats except doc. If you have a ff without a cover, you can download one from Google image. It works with Google drive, and easy access to your sd card. It has other features I can't remember right now, but it good for ff. There's a free and payed version, I have the payed, more features. It's about 4.99.It goes on sale often. Find it in the Google play store.

Flagfic is now in beta testing mode and the name is changed to ficlab. I am a beta tester for it. I love it. I think people can still be beta testers for it. just go to You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login and click on the word here. You will have to join the google group to be able to use it.

Anyone know what program can download from Twilight Archives?

I've tried FanfictionDownloader.net (my usual go to) and ficsave.com.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, its called FicLab now not flagfic.  Websites are a thing of the past with this one.

Its an extension for your browsers. I think so far Chrome, Mozilla and Opera are supported.

you get a save button at the top of the story hit it and it downloads.

1. You can set your default format -- pdf, mobi, epub, etc.
2. where you want your files saved to
3. choose your cover style
4. it has a place for extra tage , number, font style, avatar covers and an instant save
5. you can change the status of the fic to.Complete, abadoned in progress
6. also has a custome description in which you can replace the authors summary with your own.

Extension auto updates in chrome but you will have to manually update it in Mozilla

so far the supported sites are:
urrently supported sites (as of v0.5.8):
You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login (v0.1.*)

I think they are working on a place to put the date the pdf was made somewhere on the cover.

there you go

Steve rolled out a webclient You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login though on some stories it requires the extension in chrome, firefox and Opera so far.

He said it works mobiley but see above

Is there a way to convert a fanfic that is already downloaded to my computer from one format to a different format?  I downloaded a fic from the Index here that was only available in epub, but when I try to send epubs to my Kindle it doesn't work.  So in short, I need to convert an epub to a mobi on my computer before transferring to my Kindle.

If you use calibre, you can convert using that program.  Otherwise, try You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Just found another online alternative to FLAG if you don't want to download an app/plugin.

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

For some reason Storymaster has been sending me blank files the last couple of days, so I tried ficsave.com.  It works great - thank you for this easy alternative!
