So I was just cruising for any new scifi twifics and came across this. I'm feeling a bit snobbish because I'm actually a bit offended. Is my tolerance for SPaGs too low? This is the entirety of the summary pasted exactly. Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
Can someone help me with a calibre ficfanfaire problem? I've always been able to go to an author's page, and download all of their stories, but now, at least on FF.net, instead of getting JUST the author's stories, it tries to pull everything, their stories, stories they've favorited, authors they've favorited. I was trying to get all Drotuno's stories, and instead of 24 fics, it's trying to pull over 300! Have I messed up a setting somewhere, or is this just something it does now?
So, due to a story search on the 152 thread, I was checking out stories by Chanse Lowell. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login I thought, since the author has published some of her stories, they would probably be pretty good. I have come away disappointed. Another author who has some good ideas, but can't follow through. The stories are internally inconsistent, all too often the come off as more of an outline for a story that needs to be fleshed out than a completed story, or sometimes I just don't like the characters. They're emotionally flat and don't engage my sympathies. If her published work is anything like her fanfiction, and I know some of it is P2P fanfiction, my advice would be to save your money.
I use Link Clump with Chrome. Just right click and hold it down and drag it down the page and it catches all of the links on that page.
Is it horrible of me to want to unfriend someone on Facebook? I friended an author when I first created the account hoping for discussion of their stories and maybe some teasers, I think she has stopped writing and now just keeps posting a LOT of links to published books. That's fine, but not why I set up the account so I am disappointed when I get notifications and it is not remotely fan fiction related.
If you don't want to unfriend them, you can go to their facebook page and where it is checked Friend? click on that and you can turn off notifications. I did that for a few people that I kept getting emails from for things that have nothing to do with fanfiction. There may be another way as well, but that was the way I did it.
I think you can also hide posts from certain "friends" if you want. Don't ask me how. Every time I go on facebook, they've changed the way you navigate around and do things on it. Which causes me to decrease my visits to facebook even more!
Thank you!! I hate to hurt anyone's feelings and that will solve my issue without offending anyone. You are the best!!
So I'm reading May December Divide. Bella got a puppy. She had a date with Edward that ended up being an all nighter. In Seattle. From Port Angeles. Is it weird that all I can think about is that they've been gone over 12 hours and that poor puppy is still in his crate? It is very distracting. Spoke too soon. She remembered and called her neighbor to let him out.
Phew, I was getting really worried about the puppy for a while there and how it was probably crossing it's legs cos it no doubt wanted to pee really badly.
It always amuses me that I get so bothered by things like that. I mean, it is fiction. Perhaps the puppy has a super bladder or something?
