I'm trying to remember if I've read Distractions by Windchymes. I KNOW I've read at least the first couple of chapters, but I didn't mark it as read on GR, then again, I don't always check if fic is listed there. It's frustrating, not remembering!
That's a good idea - using GR to keep track. Hmmm. If you skim chapter 6, you would probably know whether you read it or not. I decided to read A Mate for Edward by Alternatetwilight that I mentioned for christineeeee, and it turned out that I had already read it but not moved from my tbr. I'm half way through and enjoying the reread well enough. I think I may reread Stranger than Fiction next. I read that years ago.
It was excellent, until various authors (Teen Wolf authors, mostly) found out we were listing fics on GR, and went freaking apeshit about it. Something about taking fic out of fandom spaces, I didn't really get it. Now, I just check if it's already listed, but I don't add anything unless there's already fic from that author on GR.
Oh, I didn't know this was an issue. I have been adding a lot of fanfic to my GR in the last couple months...

There is something weird about autocorrect and this site. It doesn't like possesives and sometimes when I double space for the period, it drops the last letter of the word. So them. Became the . So strange. No other site does this.
I came across this and it reminded me of your comment, so I thought you might enjoy. You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginOh, I couldn't breathe.
I was trying to remember a story, a scene from which was popping in my head. Turned out it was in Twilesque. It is funny. I keep getting flashbacks on that story, but each time I reread it, I dislike Bella more and more. I love the idea of the story, but she has made Alice evil and Emmett an idiot who says insulting hurtful things in a joking manner - though, when he says something to Bella, she starts to cry, even though she just told Alice off for using her visions to manipulate everyone. Carlisle just wants to be a doctor and doesn't care how the family's thought hurt Edward. And Bella goes from being abused, poor me, to strong and smarter than vampires. I really hate that this bugs me. Oh well, I'm reading about three stories at the same time now. Really, when the lemons start bothering me or I get bored, I just switch LOL! I was rereading Shields of Power. Well I thought I was rereading it. But there are whole sections that aren't familiar at all. So maybe I skipped something? Then I started Subject: Edward Cullen, aka The Womanizer. It has its funny parts but it is taking forever to move along. So, I started Bella, the Lioness, where Bella is a vampire - Jasper is her real brother. She meets Carlisle during the Civil War and her turns her a few years later when she is dying from a fever. Eventually Jasper and Alice find the Cullen. So we will see how this goes.....What is everyone else reading?
I just finished Shields of Power, and loved it. Could see myself reading this one again and I just started Drotuno's Mason Manor.
I love that story. I really love Deb's Vampwards. I'm reading that Sparks Fly, Tires Skid Pride &Prejudice fanfic that Bluegeek rec'd. I'm enjoying it so far. About halfway through. It seems tho be a quick read.
I've only ever read the one by Erica K Bailey - You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginIt takes place during book 4. And the Cullens are canon. I've looked at a few others, but have not been able to get into them. And sorry, I can't do Bella and Severus. Because really? no, just no. And even Bella/Draco. No. No. No.
I always read the last chapter/few pages of a book or a fic before starting it properly as I like to know whether I'm gonna get really invested in a couple or situation only for it to end disappointingly. Well, the one time I jumped into a fic without doing this I got the end of the fic only to wanna scream and throw my iPad as it was far from a HEA or even a HFN Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.I'm not posting the links here because I strongly recommend avoiding these fics.
Just finished Cullens Go To Hogwarts and loved it. Now I'm in a quandary: 60 chapters of the sequel are posted, but last updated in 2011. A peek at the end implies it was not near the end of the story. Should I embark? Thanks for the warning and also the rec. I enjoyed To The Extreme and the outtakes. On the light side, which was nice. When I read your description I couldn't understand how Phil's death/funeral could be funny, but geeze - I almost gave my cat a heart attack when I barked out laughing. Holy moly. And it just stayed funny. I needed that. I still have love for thunderful's Shields of Power and have been searching for something similar. I also liked Dragons at Twilight. Did you ever read katmom's Dragon Stones? You might like it. It's not marked complete though it ends in a good place. I really thought it was complete but can't find more chapters anywhere. So strange. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login by katmom Edward and his dragon, Volterra, believe that Volterra's mate is lost, gone either in death or time. Perhaps I would feel differently reading it now, but I did find my old post, though it was about a different series of Dinia's.All that said, I do recall reading and enjoying Edward Cullen, FBI Special Agent & Psychic and the sequel Edward Cullen & Friends - Down on the Bayou. I don't recall any feelings regarding the quality of the writing which is probably a good sign. I'd probably remember if it was awful.I know without a shadow of a doubt that I read her story Edward's Addiction and the sequel because it was so incredibly disturbing. I think it beat out my #1 (Bret Easton Ellis's American Psycho) when I read Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.. *shivers* Yeah... Now I need a brain cleanse. Maybe I should give some P&P fics a go...
