I use curly sexy hair shampoo and conditioner then I use their curling creme after I towel dry my hair. Go to bed with it wet and before I go out I use their curl reactivator spray. You spray it on and scrunch and it doesn't get as crunchy as a hairspray would but holds really well. It's almost magic hahaha the frizz goes away and your pretty curls are back. These are the only products I have found where I can wait a few days without washing my hair and it doesn't look gross.
What brand is it that you use? I have long curly hair, and it looks good the first day that I wash it and let it air dry, but the second day it just looks frizzy.
I tend towards greasy hair, so when my hair is long enough not to stick up in every direction but the good ones in the morning, I'll use some baby powder in mine. I have dark hair, so if you mix cocoa powder into it, it both smells good, and doesn't show up white on your hair.
When I woke up late and didn't have time to wash my hair, I used to use baby powder, but it's a little tricky to apply and not end up with a big white spot as I have dark brown hair. I think I first got a free sample from Bumble and Bumble (or it might have been a gift) before I bought what I now have on my shelf. It's from TRESemme called Fresh Start Dry Shampoo - Smoothing (for straight/normal hair). Supposedly it has oil & odor remover with vitamin h & silk protein. (I didn't even know there was a vitamin H. Go figure). It works well, but again you have to read the directions and hold your hand 8-12 inches away from your head or you get one of those white/grayish spots. When I used to use baby powder I used to keep the bottle mostly upright and squeeze hard so a puff cloud would form and sort of push my head into it. Does that makes sense? It sounds stupid, but it works.Cocoa powder! What a great idea!
Just got this from Shay Savage: ________________________________________Fanfic update Posted: 01 Feb 2016 03:59 AM PSTHello all my fabulous fanfic fans!I know there are still a lot of people out there who have been with me since my fanfic days. Hopefully, you are now enjoying my published fiction as well! This whole business of being a full time author has been quite the trip, and I wouldn't be there now if it hadn't been for the support of all the awesome fandom people out there!I wanted to give everyone a little heads up. Since Fanficnet purged pretty much everything I had out there for content violations, most of my works aren't readily available anymore. There is a little tab up there at the top of this page where you can still find some of them. Somewhere out there, I'm sure there are still PDF versions available. I don't have them though. If you ask around, you can probably locate them.I have made the decision to pull a few more stories this year for publishing. So many people have asked about Unexpected Circumstances being publishing and I think this year will be it! I will also be pulling Win Some, Lose Some and Judging Books. Both of these stories are going to have a lot of changes in them! Judging Books will be expanded to full length, and Win Some, Lose Some is going to have some pretty major changes to it as well (I think!). Chances are, I'll be pulling the remaining stories at some point in time. Fevers, Tempt My Tongue, and Hide and Drink, and my Star Wars Fanfic will be the only ones that will stay the way they are. I might just push my luck with Fanficnet and put Hide and Drink and Tempt My Tongue back up there. All of these are still out there for now (links on the Fanfic tab), but they'll be removed soon, likely within the next two weeks. This is the only warning you're going to get!I do occasionally get questions about Not What She Seems, and I wish I had a better answer for you other that I have no idea if/when it will ever be finished. I know that disappoints a lot of you, and I apologize for that. I never intended to let it fall by the wayside, but now that I write for a living, I have to focus on that. Maybe the bug will bite me one day, and I'll finish it up for publishing. I'm currently finishing up Specimen, which will be published February 24th. I am SOOOOO excited about this one I can hardly contain myself! I haven't been this thrilled with a book in a long time, and I hope you'll all enjoy it!I hope 2016 is treating you all well so far! Love to you all!
I have enjoyed her books and fics...look forward to more from her.I just started Jamie Mcguire's new book and I do not like it. I usually love her stuff but this story line just leaves me ...wtf?? Can't wait for Christina Lauren's new one..I think it's due out any day now.I read a 2 chap. Fic by Sheviking and liked it...her first vampward. I can't seem to find anything that grabs me...i'll keep browsing. I just saw that Content1 has completed Mother, Father..I'm gonna try that one.
I know what you mean. I just started Fated Love by twilover76. It is an insta-lust, mating connection fic with a Docward. Not sure if I'll make it through. I also read My Biggest Mistake, My Greatest Salvation by LyricalKris. It was good. But I had just read More Than Life by Tardis19. They both had people after them. In the first, Bella's ex is after her/them. In the second, it was Edward's ex/ex's family trying to hurt/kill them. Both have HEAs. There were some scary moments in each. I'm slowly going through all of LyricalKris's non-slash stories. She writes well, but I can only handle so much drama/angst before I need a break. I'm also trying to read Set in Stone, where Edward is a gargoyle/guardian angel but only for 200 years as punishment. And of course, that 200 years ends in the somewhat present time. And then there is Bella. I'm on chapter 2. Most of this was in the prologue. I like the premise but I keep getting distracted from reading, which isn't a good sign.
I stupidly decided to start Sharp Left Turn by fyrebirch, it's not bad but it's doing my head in as it's pretty much insta-love (they've only been together a matter of weeks), the plot is something I've not read in a while Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents. but I'm just not feeling it, so this is just another case of wishing I could flounce.
I flounced after a couple of chapters, the story had great potential, but I didn't find their relationship progress believable. Insta-love in such an emotional, crisis situation doesn't fly with me.
I've been waiting for Content1 to finish Mother, Father so I'll start that next, even though I'm badly suffering from a book hangover thanks to Mary Elizabeth, I read Low and it was amazing I really loved it, but I have to wait until March for Posey (which is the prequel) to be released. I've read MBM,MGS a few times and enjoyed it, Edward was so sweet in it and I felt so sorry for him cos of his upbringing and how he's treated by his brothers despite all he does for them. Lol, I totally understand why you'd need a break between her fics, she is definitely a go-to author for us angst h00rs though.
I finished reading:Aluthsia University reviewsIn California is the most prestigious university in the world, Aluthsia University. To be eligible to attend the university you must be a witch. Today is Bella Swan's first day. Will she be able to keep a low profile and hide her secret or will a certain witch Prince steal her heart. Will their secrets tear them apart or tie them together...Twilight - Rated: M - English - Supernatural/Romance - Chapters: 38 - Words: 147,061 - Reviews: 382 - Favs: 406 - Follows: 461 - Updated: Aug 6, 2015 - Published: Dec 18, 2014 - Bella, Edward - CompleteWOW. Awesome story IMO. I liked so much I even read the 6 chapters she has posted for the sequel that isn't finished yet, and I don't usually read WIPs. Worth checking out.
I decided to lower my goodreads challenge since I was reading books based on their length and only fics if they were already on Goodreads, not that the Morganville Vampire books aren't okay, but at 200 pages or less, they sure make for a quick read. I'll have to check out some of the fics listed recently now that I have given myself some more freedom.
