Hi. I go by the name Trilby. Duh it's on my sign in name. I drop by here from time to time, like a ghost follower. I know it's bad. I've been reading twilight fanfics for a few years now. Rereading some of them. I'll try and be more active, because that update about "a May to December romance", that's what I need right now!! I've been waiting for updates for as long as I remember!!! Now I'm gonna reread it!!!!
Welcome Trilby. I also have been waiting forever for that update. I reread the fic a few days ago and still loving it. I hope she updates more frequently this time around. Changing my Course is the next one I'm dying to see updated.....fingers and toes crossed.Anyone watching The Voice? Do you think Curly Sue is going to take it? A.I concluded with Trent taking the win. I really think he deserved it. I was kinda hoping for a girl to take the prize but I just loved Trent....so much depth to that voice. So sad to see that show go. Although, Ryan, at the end of the show hinted that it may come back...revamped..who knows?!
I haven't watched the end of AI yet - Thanks for ruining the surprise. LOL! Just kidding. I kind of lost interest when the ones I liked got voted off. I swear the voters are all teenage girls. Because the winners always end up being the boring but cute guy with a guitar. I probably would have voted that way myself when I was a teen. Though I may buy LaPorsha's record - she is a really good singer. I'm a little behind on The Voice, but only a week I think. I watched all the duels/duets and a couple of the live performances. I just find the song choices a little boring at times to the point I don't remember the singers. The guy who won the last one though? Jordan? Now he has an amazing voice. I need to find something new to read. I started reading a WIP that seems to be almost done by WeeKittyandTat that got me sucked into the one-night stand/pregnant/he is a doctor stories. I just finished another. It was pretty good. Not a lot of angst. Except for Renee as a sucky mother. And there are lemons, but not too bad. Okay, there are lemons every chapter or multiple times in a chapter. But they aren't too p0rn like. And when they do it on the granite kitchen counter she complains that her butt is cold. Edward makes her forget for a few moments, but she remembers again when they are done. LOL! You are not allowed to view links. Time to look Oh, and welcome Trilby..... it's been pretty quiet around here lately. So new voices are always welcome!
I just finished I Love Mr. North and all its outtakes by walkingwithgiants. It's cute and funny. Low on the angst meter, higher on the humor meter, and, despite the fact that Emmett, Edward and Alice are all in the p0rn industry, it's not overflowing with sex scenes. No insta-love between Bella and Edward, but a nice build-up of a relationship between Edward and Bella. And, even though the characters fit the stereotypes, they seem to have enough of a twist to be interesting. I recommend it. You'll find it in the Index. It's also published as Lingus, but I haven't read the published version.
I'm so sorry Ella! The competition has been over for a few weeks so I thought I'd be in the clear. You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginI thought he gave that up!?! He's still smokin' hot tho'.I've been in a reading slump lately. Nothing's been holding my interest. I'm gonna reread one of sheviking's completed fics. I like her writing.Highlander and GoT is back so I've been watching.
I did the opposite and read Lingus...then read some of the outtakes of I Love Mr. North. I like her writing too so i also got her latest pubd book The Wall of Winipeg and Me (under the name Mariana Zapata). Haven't gotten round to reading it yet. It was either The Wall or Bounty of Kristen Ashley. Slept at 3 am to start the Bounty last night Sigh, i just love KA's writing. Am halfway through at 1,070 pages and Deke and Justice finally did the deed. Talk about slow burn
Ella - I didn't like the way AI was done this season either. The producers shortened the season by at least 3 weeks - I guess to wrap it up faster? and yes - they still put out 1000 page books. Why do you think George RR Martin is behind on the latest volume of Game of Thrones? He was supposed to have finished it before they started filming but surprise........
They still write books that are over 1,000 pages long?
Have you read Kulti by Mariana? You so should, it's such a slow burn Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.. I've managed to read all of her pub'd books so far and they were all really enjoyable, I especially liked Under Locke but be warned if you're gonna read it's looooong, about 500 pages!! But it is so worth the read. On a different note: I'm on holiday at the moment (visiting my Daughter and Grandson) and it's frigging typical that I'm now ill with a chest and throat infection which is really playing my Asthma up. I swear I need another holiday to get over this holiday.
