That's too bad. Ok, everyone, tell us your worst birthday ever.  Mine was when I turned 15 and my family forgot it was my birthday. At that age, it was a big deal and bothered me for years.......sometimes it still bothers me and I am turning 48 this year.

You're three years older than me, the same age as my big brother.
My little sister is ten years younger me. (family’s evening star  )

Our family has never forgotten birthdays…
so there is any birthday disasters.

I just caught the end of the year, and was born in December. Age is just a number. I am glad your family never forgot any birthdays. That isn't an experience I would wish on anyone. I grew up as the oldest in my family. I have 2 younger brothers and a younger half-brother. I also have an older brother, but he was given up for adoption before I was born. He is 15 months older than me.

So I missed the intro to the beard thing, but went looking for my ideal length and wound up realizing that I like facial hair much more than I thought. There are several 3-views (Gosling, Clooney, and Affleck are popular) and I realize that I always prefer the heavier 10-day look. Basically a tight beard.

That's too bad. Ok, everyone, tell us your worst birthday ever.  Mine was when I turned 15 and my family forgot it was my birthday. At that age, it was a big deal and bothered me for years.......sometimes it still bothers me and I am turning 48 this year.

I try to ignorxe birthdays myself. It wasn't the worst, but my most stressful was my 30th. I was excited, threw a big party, and wound up inviting everyone. Not smart. I was a young professional who had gone to journalism school so I knew all those people. (What nowadays would be your Linked In friends). But I had been a messed up teenager sneaking into raves and clubs, and was a bit of a fag hag, so I had all those friends (of which many had not yet given up their partying ways). At the time, I was dating an English illegal who had similar friends (guys trying to make a living however they could - carpentry, construction, etc), and we spent a lot of time at the pub playing darts and such, so I had those people there too. Ugh, I'm getting stressed just thinking about how these people mixed. Oh, and don't forget that my scattered family decided to surprise me and show up without forewarning me. The look on my mom's face... It was all very stressful. Oh, and let's not forget that my employer availed the art gallery for me to host the event so all of my current coworkers were there too. 

My birthday is less than two weeks after Christmas.  Therefore, it was always ignored.  One year, I think I was 8 or 9, my best friend, whose birthday was on Christmas day, had her birthday party on my birthday.

Now, my husband's birthday is two weeks before Christmas, my youngest child's birthday is 3 days before Christmas, my oldest child's birthday is 1 day before mine.  No one's birthday is ever ignored.  Nor does anyone receive joint Christmas/birthday presents.  I only have one child who escaped the holiday madness and his birthday is in August before school starts. 

Mine is less than 2 weeks before Christmas on the 13th and it wasn't unusual for me to get joint gifts. I am the only December baby in my family. The closed to mine would be my son and he is in November.  I grew up in a poor family, so parties were not an option for me.

Now I know what to look for, for your birthday next year. 

I feel so sorry for all you poor souls having birthdays in December, I know that my brother and nieces hate having birthdays in December. Particularly my brother because his lands on Christmas day and when he was younger everyone used to give him "joint" presents (one present for birthday and christmas). Good thing that my parents were more thoughtful when they created the rest of my brothers and me. 

Talking of birthdays it was my hubby's yesterday and it wasn't until today that he told me he's not 30 until next year, so I asked for his birthday card back so he could have it next year. 
I'm awful when it comes to ages and remembering birthdays, anniversaries etc that I always ask him. Now you can see why I've gotta ask him as I can't even remember his age and we've been together 10.5 years.

Sooooooooo I just read The Misapprehension of Bella Swan by hunterhunting and I have no idea how I missed this fic............because I have never read it, but OMGGGGGG hockeyward is amazing and a favorite of mine and this fic is fabulous & hilarious & lemony & and I loved it 

Bella is freaking crazy, funny, and neurotic in this fic and Edward is this awkward, sweet, gorgeous hockey player. Where has this fic been all my life?!

Do you guys know of any other hockeyward fics I may have missed?
