Reading IN your World by solostwilight and loving it.

I flove this fic. Definitely in my top 10. It was pulled to publish, but I haven't dared to read it that way. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login. While I've read and enjoyed several Amish books, I really like this as an Edward and Bella story. And none of the other Amishward stories even come close to this one. (Though Collide by Robicorn is worthwhile, with an Amish Bella).

And now I am reading You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Actorward.  Bella sends Edward a fan letter that is a little different which he reads at a time he is at the end of his rope.  He calls the number in the letter and finds a good friend in Bella, who lives in Texas.  I'm about a quarter of the way through and they still haven't met in person.  So it will be a slow burn.  They are trying to just keep it friends, partially because Edward is afraid all the fame stuff he has to put up with will send her running and Bella is afraid she will fall in love with him and he will still think of her as just a friend.

Sometimes reading B/E stories ruins the surprise, because you know if it is going to be HEA, they are at some point going to get together.  She won't mind the stupid paps and he will love her forever.....  :P

But I'm enjoying it so far....

Heh, I just downloaded this yesterday for a future read. The summary reminded me of The Letter by changedbyEdward, which I liked. Though it was a lot edgier than I expect Letter from the Heartland to be.

Glad to hear props for Bound to a Secret because I grabbed that too.

Just re-read The Story of Us Series by SexylexiCullen  ^-^ ^-^ and ughhhhhhhhhhh I miss SexylexiCullen A LOT! Do you guys think she shall ever return to the fandom?? She still had WIPs that haven't been updated in years.. so sad  :'(

Also if any of you have not read that series.. its fabulous and still on TWCS! Also I learned that the TWCS has "reader mode" so you can read the whole story continuously  :)

So now I need to find another fic to re-read!  :great:

For those celebrating Independence Day, hope you have a safe and happy one! I was remembering a documentary I watched on female spies during the US Civil War, so I'd like to give thanks to Harriet Tubman.

I had high hopes based on the summary, but ultimately I couldn't finish VW. The writing drove me nuts.

Someone was looking for a doorstep bundle fic on 152 and it reminded me of one I read long ago. I knew it wasn't the fic being sought, but I had to find it. So glad I did. Anyone remember You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login by anhanninen? I'm enjoying my reread. What a clueless dipsh!t.  :D

I just reread one of my go-to twifics, You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login by cupcakeriot. Obviously influenced by the newest Star Trek films, it's an intriguing read. I've enjoyed most of her fics, but especially NOVA, Magnetic, Blood, and Cyber. If you enjoy scifi or supernatural, check her out.

I tried reading Cupcakeriot, but never got past the first chapters.  And I like scifi.  I may have to try it again.

So looking for something new to read I guess.  Finished Letters from the Heartland.  It was good because it was Actorward, but it was 3rd person, a little annoying in that they were both afraid to ask for what they wanted, and the end kind of sucked. It just kind of ended with
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I guess I just wanted more.  Or at least an epilogue.

I thought I read Fatherhood, Formulas and other F words, but I think I read Diapers, Diplomas, and Deadbeat Dads by Mathison.  Who knows.  It was a couple months ago LOL!  I guess that means I can read it again.

I need to update my Kindle though, reading on the iPad is messing with my sleep.

The neighbors are starting the fireworks.  As in shoot up in the sky  They make me nervous.  I found out they only fine them and don't stick them in jail, so I may be that person who tells.

Sometimes hitting "Unnotify" and then re-Notify again helps.

Okay, not liking all the fireworks going off.  These aren't the safe and sane kind.  I think even those are not allowed this year with all the dry lawns and yards.  Scary.  My husband doesn't freak out like me, but damn! The are close.  >:( >:( >:(

That's scary. I don't like loud noises, and I would probably be freaking out if I were you (even though there's probably nothing to worry about). When I worked in Hong Kong, they would go a little nuts with the fireworks... in the street... right next to you. Ugh. Terrifying, but at least we were right next to the water. You were talking about the high temperatures lately, which makes me fear that it's dry. I hope there are no problems. I've had the opposite experience here in NYC. A few fireworks popped off around 9pm, but basically got washed out. It's almost 2am now and it's still raining. Glad I didn't have plans.  ;D

  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
So I'm reading You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login - Bella joins Edward's, Emmett's and Jasper's band as a singer because Edward caused the last 3 female singers to quit after he had sex with them then cheated on them.  Hey, he's his normally douchy self.

Anyway, he meets Bella and though he knows she is off limits, the normal found my mate stuff starts happening.  Anyway, he rescues her from James but is confused about her reaction and rambles stating "Apparently I have a newly found case of turrets."

So how does one get a case of tower like structures normally found on castles?  Just wondering....  :D :D :D :D :D

I'm reading a Viking story and just came across this.

"He could have easily gone to Tanya for attention. I was not certain but somehow I doubted she was a woman of tight murals."

 :D

Tanya probably does have a sizable collection of tightly woven tapestries, but her morals may be lacking.

Sometimes I love the fact that half or maybe 3/4 of fanfiction writers don't know how to spell.  It can be annoying when it's a drama, but it sure does make me laugh.

In the story I'm reading now, the author has on multiple occasions, used the wrong character name.  I can figure out who they mean from context, but it makes me wonder.

Sadly, some published authors also have that problem. Good thing their story/writing is ok enough for me to bear with it. And thankfully, it was only a handful of mistakes, which i can otherwise ignore   :P

Ella and Lamelurker, I should probably hate both of you.   This is the second time Ella has recommended something that I know I'm going to end up reading (even tho it may take me forever to get through it).  And yes ladies we are discussing Letter From the Heartland.  I have read The Letter which I loved and which Lamelurker has also read.  After reading her comments - I am doomed to read another twilight fic.   There is no justice in this world.  and yes I am still alive.  I've had - and still have - computer problems.  The laptop is going to my IT guy as soon as he can get to it.  When that happens, I won't even be able to lurk.    Eacalltheway - when you get your notifications to work again - let me know how you managed and pass the secret on to me.   Charreader or anyone else - did anyone ever find out why Elizabeth (psymom) took down the forms on Twilighted?  I've hit a deadend - no one has an answer.  I do know its creating a problem for people who used to go to the forums to search for answers to questions about authors, etc.   Heck - I needed to get into my pm's to find someone's name and I obviously can't - thank you so much psymom - you are not helpful.

Hi Ruth,

I have no idea what's happening at Twilighted?  I've tried getting in numerous times without luck, I've even Googled to try to see if I could find out anything.  Nothing.

I download directly to my tablet, rename, back up to my Google drive, then move the files to my books folder on my tablet SD card. I read all formats using eReader Prestigio. It catalogs everything automatically. I limit that to my books folder on my SD card, but it can pick up every kind of file on the device.

It's not perfect, but I like it. No problems with pdf or mobi, though I DL mostly epubs for size reasons. I don't read much on my computer, but when I do, I just pull from my Google drive (where everything has been backed up) or Bluetooth it from my tablet.

I've kind of avoided PDFs until I got my iPad air.  iBooks works well with PDFs.  My other tablet gets too heavy after a while.  But I was using Mantano Reader or Moon Reader.  I liked both.

On the iPad, I also have Good Notes that works with PDFs well.  I use that more for non-fiction stuff, like school stuff.

Thank you for those e-book readers!!   :-*

How those programs can have bigger font size?

Yeah, flying doesn't work so well for me either. Sorry you got hurt though.  :(

The problem with most PDFs is you can't change the font size. With epubs or mobi, there is usually a control in the eReader that allows the change of font size. Usually in the settings. This is why I always download epubs. Small file size, adjustable fonts, and easy conversion to mobi.

So, I am in Dallas this week for a class. It is very humid here compared to where I live. The heat is about the same though. Hopefully the class is interesting.
