Thanks for the warning and also the rec. I enjoyed To The Extreme and the outtakes. On the light side, which was nice. When I read your description I couldn't understand how Phil's death/funeral could be funny, but geeze - I almost gave my cat a heart attack when I barked out laughing. Holy moly. And it just stayed funny. I needed that. I know without a shadow of a doubt that I read her story Edward's Addiction and the sequel because it was so incredibly disturbing. I think it beat out my #1 (Bret Easton Ellis's American Psycho) when I read Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.. *shivers* Yeah... Now I need a brain cleanse. Maybe I should give some P&P fics a go...
As far as Edwards Addiction? Thanks for the warning. I would probably have avoided it just for the mention of lemons and bondage together.
Is it wrong that I really wanna read Edward's Addiction cos you've said it's really disturbing. I'm in the mood for something really dark so I think I'm gonna give it ago, at least I won't wake the hubby up by me laughing.
Just finished Cullens Go To Hogwarts and loved it. Now I'm in a quandary: 60 chapters of the sequel are posted, but last updated in 2011. A peek at the end implies it was not near the end of the story. Should I embark? Thanks for the warning and also the rec. I enjoyed To The Extreme and the outtakes. On the light side, which was nice. And it just stayed funny. I needed that. I still have love for thunderful's Shields of Power and have been searching for something similar. I also liked Dragons at Twilight. Did you ever read katmom's Dragon Stones? You might like it. It's not marked complete though it ends in a good place. I really thought it was complete but can't find more chapters anywhere. Perhaps I would feel differently reading it now, but I did find my old post, though it was about a different series of Dinia's.All that said, I do recall reading and enjoying Edward Cullen, FBI Special Agent & Psychic and the sequel Edward Cullen & Friends - Down on the Bayou. I don't recall any feelings regarding the quality of the writing which is probably a good sign. I'd probably remember if it was awful.I know without a shadow of a doubt that I read her story Edward's Addiction and the sequel because it was so incredibly disturbing. I didn't read the sequel to The Cullens go to Hogwarts because she didn't appear to be updating it. But it sounds like she may have. I may have to try some of the Dragon ones. Are they standalone or do I need to wait until it is all done? As far as Edwards Addiction? Thanks for the warning. I would probably have avoided it just for the mention of lemons and bondage together. I need to finish Shields of Power. I am at the honeymoon. LOL! Too many lemons at once.
I haven't read anything of Dinia Steel's yet and I am not sure where I will be placing them on my TBR list, but thanks for the heads up on her writing. If I can't get into the story or it sucks, I will just flounce. She is currently writing and posting a 3rd story in the series. I will put that Dragon one on my TBR list, and as for the sequel, I have a hard time reading stories that aren't finished. Maybe you could PM her and see if she has abandoned it or planning to finish it? Have you read this one? I thought it was good story. You are not allowed to view links. She has the sequel done, but she admits that there are 3 "books" to the story and only the first 2 are posted. Because of this, I am holding off reading the 2nd book until the 3 has been posted. I would recommend just putting them at the bottom of you TBR list until the 3 one is done and then read all 3 back to back and maybe put the author on alert. Lamelurker, thanks for the heads up on Edward's Addiction. I looked the summary for this one briefly on ficpad, and considered adding it to my TBR list, but I will stay away from this one.
You know, I've been thinking about it and I think there is more to the Cedric goes to Forks story. I found a Part 3 online that starts at Chapter 110. Unfortunately, I am not sure it is finished either. But I seem to remember there was another site with the PDFs of more parts. I downloaded what was there. I will need to check and see what I have. I'll let you know what I find.
Understandable. But your mention of it reminds me of something else about her work that angered me. That summary is completely off-base Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents. It's not lemony goodness or badness when you kidnap and drug a 17-year-old girl, tie her up, and gang bang rape her until she is drug-dependent and now "in love" with her abductor. It's not "bondage" when you're forcibly restraining someone. Without consent, it's torture. Ugh! It really upsets me. I like reading kinky stories (BDSM, D/s, etc) and while dub-con is a sub genre that is not of interest to me, I understand that there is an interest to others. This is not an example of it. This is one of those mislabeled stories that mislead people like me who cheer when they read "bondage" only to discover unsafe, insane and non-consensual activities. Just like Roquelaure's Sleeping Beauty series. Without consent it's not BDSM and bondage fun.Wow. Lots of soap boxing today. Sorry.Let me know what you think! It might not be dark enough because, you know, it's HEA and all...
I started it last night so I'm only a few chapters into it. I'm not too sure about it yet, I think cos it's told in 3rd person and a vamp fic doesn't help; these are two things I struggle with when reading fics, I'm just so used to reading Bella, Edward and Co's POV's and being human. But as I'm totally unable to flounce, so I'll carry on and as it's not that long of a fic I'm hoping I might start to be able to get into it a little more the more I read it. I'll let you know what I really think of it when I finish it.
So I just finished Sparks Fly, Tires Skid. You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginDefinitely a retake on the original Pride & Prejudice. It was an interesting mix of present times and past times and English and American ways. But I enjoyed it. I kind of wanted more of an ending, but it was an HEA, so I can't really complain.
The original Pride and Prejudice always leaves me wanting more, but I also enjoyed Sparks Fly, Tires Skid. I have read a couple other good P&P fics if you want the names of more, both modern and historical ones.
I guess we shouldn't mention there is a second story related to it if you like it.
Now you tell me!! I've been known to read whole series even though I don't like them just because they include the same characters.
Tricklem - I Saw You Coming by SaritaDreaming is good. That's not the only one by her that is. She's been around for awhile.
I seem to remember that. It may be time to learn to flounce LOL!
One day I'm gonna surprise us all (myself included) and actually flounce something.
My son just found out he qualifies as a National Merit Scholar!!!! I'm so excited!
