Is it just me, or are Michaelmas54's Edwards always unlikable?  I don't know. This is the 3rd story by her I've tried to read, and I think she is trying to be funny, but it is just not working for me.  It could be because she writes in 3rd person.  No, I just don't like Edward.

Reading Dreams and Fantasies - an Actorward story. Sigh. I usually love Actorward.   

Okay, I read the last chapter. It looks like he improves.  I think she writes like Counselor. The stories are well written, but old fashioned?  It's probably the 3rd person writing. A lot more telling than showing. Though I think it is standard in 3rd person.

My son just found out he qualifies as a National Merit Scholar!!!!  I'm so excited!

Long time no see. Lol.
Do you know this story? I read it as a WHIP, I only read the first few chapters.

I only remember the first few chapters of it, Bella is in high school and gets dragged to a party with Alice (maybe) and Bella really didn't want to go. She ends up meeting Edward there under a tree and they spend most of the night talking and then Bella has to leave but not before her and Edward share a kiss and make plans to go on a date the next night. When Bella gets home Charlie tells her that they will be having company tomorrow for supper which turns out to be Charlie's girlfriend and her son, Edward and they are moving in...

I hope I posted this in the right place... I think I may have asked before but never found an answer

I'm so embarrassed by Trump's support of Putin. I haven't felt so politically shamed since my country sort-of elected Bush. To escape I decided to reread Hoodfabulous' Breakaway Bella. I just wanted to dig into some southern roots for a bit.    Even though it's crime ridden, it's better than reality.

I don't know about that one I did read the Counseller by her and I liked it. I know most dont like counselors writing.

Robert Pattinson, FKA Twigs: Split Or Still Together?

Have Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs split, or are they still together? That, hands down, is the question Gossip Cop has been asked most over the last few weeks. And we’ve been investigating.

Pattinson and Twigs, of course, began dating in the late summer/early fall of 2014. For a time, they were seemingly inseparable as they traveled around Europe together. By April 2015, an engagement was confirmed.

The couple went on to make their red carpet debut at the Met Gala the following month. And they attended the 2016 gala together, as well, this past May (see photo above). But a lack of sightings over the last few months, as well as no news about a wedding, has led many to wonder if Pattinson and Twigs are still together.

Now, both stars are notoriously private. It is more than possible that Pattinson and Twigs are keeping their low-key, long-distance relationship largely under wraps as he films new movies and she grows her music career. But there’s also been some rumblings of a separation.

And Gossip Cop’s usual insiders have been unusually secretive recently when asked about the couple’s relationship status. As recently as Thursday, Twigs’ own rep gave Gossip Cop a “no comment.” That, of course, isn’t actually confirmation of anything.

What Gossip Cop can confirm, as we did on Thursday, is that Pattinson and Mia Wasikowska are NOT getting “cozy,” despite a report from OK!. Not only has their current film project, Damsel, wrapped, but Gossip Cop was told the co-stars have never been anything more than friendly professionals.

So, which way will things go with Pattinson and Twigs? As they say, time will tell.

One of halojones stories, I think it was I hate myself for loving you or something like that, was what taught me about abandoned WIPs.  It was shortly after I started reading fan fiction and didn't realize that authors sometimes abandon their stories.  I did read She's Royal and remember liking it.  I started 10 Steps To Seducing Your Hot Virgin Vampire BF, but didn't make it past the first couple chapters or so.

I read I Hate Myself for Loving You.  Even though it's incomplete, it ends in a way and at a place I could live with.  It seemed like halojones was trying to document every moment of their lives once they met.  Probably why she abandoned the story.  If I could flounce, I probably would have flounced 10 Steps, too.  I thought She's Royal was several steps up in quality from the other two.

If I read it now, knowing that it was incomplete and was likely to remain that way, I think I could be okay with where it ended (it has been a while), but at the time I was devastated.  Okay devastated maybe too strong of a word, but learning about abandoned stories is a hard lesson/

I know what you mean.  It's even worse if abandoned before reconcilement or if it's a mystery story.  I've been left holding the bag on several mysteries and it still makes me mad.

I remember the story, though not the name of it, when I learned what "abandoned fic" meant. It was so crushing. To know those characters would never get their happily ever after. To not know how it ends. *shakes head* This is why I haven't read Fold Your Wings by Jadalulu or A Garment of Brightness by miaokuancha when I really, really wanted to. Every once in a while I will drop a comment of encouragement for another chapter. Same for Eden by cupcakeriot as it's the sequel to Nova (I want it even if it wasn’t necessary per se.).

Do you remember how you learned about abandoned fics?

I've written a few hopeful comments of encouragement (and welcome back messages when a writer returns to continue a fic).  Last year (June 2015), when ChampagneAnyone posted a note saying she was going to finish Guardian, I wrote her a joyful PM.  I was so happy thinking we would get the answers to the mysteries, so far she has not posted again.  She had originally stopped writing because she was battling a very serious illness, but in her author's note said she was well. I hope she is still healthy.  I'm losing hope that she will ever finish Guardian.

The ones that really make me crazy are the writers who keep starting stories when they have several they haven't updated or completed.  I always check if an author makes a habit of leaving fics unfinished before I even consider giving them a chance.
