This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

We've been told we we're one of the luckier ones as our house is brick built while a few of our neighbours homes are newer so they're timber framed. So hopefully we'll be able to move back in and not have to re-build. *phew*
Ella, that's bad enough though, as not only is it inconvenient it's like you said not really comfortable to leave in a damp house.
Mind you it's quite nice having our "own" place again - I love my in-laws but it's nice not having to be quite all the time.

It's funny because we had just bought an RV 2 weeks before. Just a small one. But perfect for sleeping and hanging out in. I got a 100 ft cable to plug into the TV from the house system. And had the wifi set up. But I still cooked in the kitchen and we used the inside bathrooms. This lasted about 2 months. Just me and my husband too.

Also, I sure I asked this before but I can't remember the answer due to my early on set dementia etc etc...But, Torn? Is the author planning on ever finishing or is it going to run and run like a soap opera? Because we're at 85 chapters and it ain't a Drabble...Any of you ladies hear anything in The Devil's Playground or any of the other Twilight forums?

Absolutely a better writer than Rowling! I tried to read Rowling's HP to my god-daughter when she was younger, after the first book I quickly changed her over to Philip Pullman's Dark Materials instead, I was sooooo happy when she was finally old enough to read them herself! And she soon stopped asking me to go with her to see the films as I'd fall asleep as the opening credits started. Yes it's a stand alone book. Read it asap!

Oh, Lordie Kimkimkim...Driven? *sigh* I'm not saying a word...

Ok, so I loved His Dark Material's too... did you ever read Lyra's Oxford that is book 3.5? It's a novella, but I still enjoyed it. Anyway, please tell me you've read more than just part of the first HP book! The series gets better and better and matures as it goes. I love her! I love it! ;-)

And yes, Driven... I finished the first book and am almost at the end of the second book. I'm about to pull my hair out.

Is anyone else annoyed by writers who don't hit the complete button for years though they say the fic is complete? I hate this and yes, I know, I'm pedantic.

Hope you had a wonderful day. I absolutely agree with that age sentiment. It just reaffirms the sentiment that youth is definitely wasted on the young.

I started Asylum and had to stop. It's definitely different ....I just couldn't get into it. I think I got as fas as C6/7. Are you digging that fic?

That is actually a really good idea - we used to have a caravan in our back garden for a few years and we used to go out there to get a bit of alone time before Saxon and Dior came along.

But the hubby gave it to his brother as we couldn't stop the goats from getting into it.

Even though I just read a fic (Rear View Mirror) for the first time in a few weeks, it was a pretty good read but by the last 1/4 of it I was getting annoyed for no real reason other than I wanted it to finish.

That really annoys me - I've bypassed so many fics thinking they were still WIP's as the author hadn't pressed the complete button and I've not read the last A/N.

That type of story is not appealing to me at all, but there are many people I know in the fandom who love it.

We are all on the same page at the same time. A severe lack of quality reading material. What the frick kind of book club are we?
Maybe we should live up to our "name". Let's pick a book, real or fic and then discuss. Just a thought.....I really would like to read something good
