This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Demaris - you must go back and see what Astro did on page 69,  It's pretty epic!

I was wondering if anyone else is having any issues with the new search filter at fanfiction.net. I had a day off from both jobs today and wanted to catch up on downloading completed stories. All of the tabs I had reset when they did the new filter. I can use the filter fine but when I try to go to a different page by page number, next or last all I get is an error. Their front page hasn't been updated since April which would be a logical place to put updates or trouble with the system. I sent them an e-mail but they haven't written back, nor do I expect them too. I tried 4 different browsers with the same result.

Is everyone having this issue also?

We are rolling out the final phase of the 4 characters feature as well as the introduction of the “without” filtering options in the category story listing pages.

Due to the new filtering options, the filtering menu is getting quite bloated and we no longer want to squeeze every filter option alongside the page content. This is a significant departure from previous UI layout and is currently in beta phase. We will continue to improve it over the coming days as we parse through all the user feedback and a hybrid approach is already in the works.

Changes:
•Added new “without” filtering options for category story listing pages.
•Added new 4 character filtering option for category story listing pages.
•Forum Per-Topic Reply Limit has been upped to 40K from previous 20K level.
•Improved performance of Fontastic Panel on tablet/mobile devices.

Fixed
•Search returns error for some search keywords and filters.
•Chrome v26+ compatibility.
•Chrome on Android blowing up font sizes randomly.

Pending
•Sync filtering options to mobile site.
•Introduce hybrid approach to the new filtering option where the most often used filters are displayed with the page and the rest are hidden away in the new filter UI.

Where have you been? What have you been up to? We've missed you!

A lot has happened these past several months:
laurendeplume and 2amlovesick are now writers
The super Ficfangirl is now a moderator! And she created this freaking awesome index of all the fanfics posted in PTS!
She and Ellachanted (our 2 most loyal, long lasting, consistent and lovely PTS gems) have been patiently teaching/herding the newbies.
Astro is still in a drought and missing you, her lebanese lover. She has been keeping busy by becoming a beta and cracking her hot principal/teacher's whip.
Loopy is still the goddess of all sexual escapades blessed with a younger husband who is a physical trainer, so we have been wondering about his abs and stamina.
Rdmickey has also been flying by from time to time still bringing her wonderful robp0rn.
Sadly, savvy did go missing like you.

We were all introduced to the Diva cup and somehow managed to sync our menstrual cycles (go figure)
many of us don't like a n a l and majority swallow.  How about you?
Oh, and what's your shoe size so i can add it to your stats?

Other than that, everyone is having a blast oversharing and rec'ing fanfics. You'll be happy, just like i am and which is why i have stuck around, that the lovely ladies here are still their supportive, kind,  funny and pervy selves. With the FanficDownloader plugin for Calibre, if you choose the "Get story URLs to download from webpage" option, and put in the profile link for the contest, you will be given the option of "Individual books" or "Anthology epub".  The Anthology epub option puts them all in to one epub file.  I don't know if this is a newer option on the fanfic downloader plugin because I downloaded it recently.

Is there a reason that the For Anthology Epub button is greyed out so I can't select it?

Alternatively, I miss read your post and was trying to figure out how to put all the summer contests into one file, and found the "EpubMerge" plugin, and it will merge files together.  I plan to use this to attach outtakes to the end of stories so I don't have to go hunt for them on my ereader.

ETD: Thank you! The anthology button is still greyed out, but I just used the EpubMerge thingy and it worked! Yay!

I don't know why it would be greyed out, unless maybe because you are using an older version of Calibre or Fanfic Downloader (I was using Calibre 0.9.37 and Fanfic Downloader 1.7.79).

Glad the EpubMerge worked for you though.
