Anyone notice the new ad format? Think it's causing the scrolling of the page to hang.

And why am i now seeing ads for "tips for 1 flat belly" and "skin whitening and anti-aging cream".. Can Mr Admin turn on my ipad camera and watch me whenever i am here? Damn, that's one insightful data analytics this site has! The power of digital marketing...

Now a rant about FFn:

What really burns my muffins about FFn is the lack of communication. They implemented the changes on July 25th. Everyone started to experience issues. People started sending e-mails letting them know that there were bugs. Others went to the blog to let them know that there were issues. (I did both) And they still didn't say a word. Then on the blog there are 3 people that like to act as the defenders of FFn. Basically saying that it's a free site and they (FFn) don't owe us anything because they are a free site. Or if you think you can do better start your own site...blah, blah, blah. That gets the people who are trying to be helpful about the bugs angry and the comments start getting nastier. Yes, it's a free site. Yes, they don't owe us anything including an explanation. However, let's say, on July 24th they placed on the front page that they were going to implement some new script and there may be some bugs people would be more patient. They keep us in the dark and never tell us what they are doing until the excrement hits the fan.

Now lets compare FFn to this site. Mr. Admin and the mods keep us appraised of issues that are happening. There is a facebook page that we can go to if the site is down and usually someone is pretty quick to let us know if there is an issue. We have a thread to ask or add bugs that are on the site. They leave us pinned threads to the top of the forums letting us know important information. Obviously Mr. Admin and the mods care about the site and the people that use it. We appreciate all the hard work they do and, in turn, we click on ads or donate to keep this site alive. This is a community and every nuance of this site reflects that.

Even my husbands online gaming sites, all web based, keep him informed of updates. On the sign in page, in group chat, and a PM.

But FFn is the complete opposite. We don't seem to be important at all to the people running that site. Two lines of text on the front page was all that was needed. We are adding blah, blah, blah, to the site. You may experience some issues. If they wanted to be nice they could have added your patience is this matter is greatly appreciated. Just like that we would be informed and would be pacified. But we get nothing. Then they do huge purges and pull down tons of fics without explanation about every 2 years.

I sometimes wonder why exactly I continue to use FFn. They are a constant source of aggravation and heartache. However they still have the largest amount of fanfic for the fandoms I read. 

I started reading this and I'm on chapter 3 and then I suddenly remember that a lot of people didn't like this fic.

How is it? should I read it ?

It's a quick read so go ahead and finish it.  It starts out a lot like PWP but does eventually go somewhere. We all liked Edward (not his pet name so much) and Bella is as exciting as a dish rag.  E's hot and a good guy; read it for him.   

I just finished it. I liked it and have a big smile on my face. That said, I'm kind of shocked at how many reviews/follows it got. It wasn't that good. I guess the initial lemons brought about a following. To each her own I guess. I wouldn't rush to read it, but it's worthwhile. I'm going to check out her next story, Barefoot in Texas, and see if she improves any. (P.S. I did love her A/Ns, which included recs from the planetblue Archive of Awesome Fic List).

Why, why did Fanfiction.net have to change their format ?

I absolutely hate it, I'm super picky about how I read. It has to be dark and 3/4 and the words zoom two times. But I can no longer read like that, I tried expanding it and I still don't like it.

It's gonna take me a while to get used to that.

LOL! Are you sure? You can still have green eyed babies at 60. I watch reality TV.  I know this!

No, really, thanks for the review.  Not that I have any problems with lemons and older B& E. I just tend to avoid stories that are mostly lemons. 

Okay it seems vi agra is a bad word. Sigh.

I don't know why it would be greyed out, unless maybe because you are using an older version of Calibre or Fanfic Downloader (I was using Calibre 0.9.37 and Fanfic Downloader 1.7.79).
