This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Glad I'm not the only one looking forward to magic mike. Actually I'm most interested in Magic Joe!

So I'm reading that book called Still Alice about the woman that gets alzheimers at age 50. It is so depressing! I keep hoping there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Unfortunately there is no light at the end of the tunnel with Alzheimer's at this time. Its a nasty sad slow way to die for both the patient and the caregivers. There's enough research going on so that there should be light in the next 5 years or so hopefully. If you want inspiration, there is a documentary out on Glen Campbell who has it called I'm Still Me (I think that's the title - CNN just showed it last week - I didn't know about it until the next day. For a good book and history on early-onset Alzheimer's (which I believe Alice had) look for the book The Thousand Mile Stare by Gary Reisweig. I can identify with the thousand mile stare because my father had it. I knew something was wrong with him when it (he) looked at me in my kitchen before he was even diagnosed. Should any of you know someone - especially someone in your family - with Alzheimer's a good book for reference and guidance for caregivers is the 36 Hour Day. I can't remember the author right at the moment. It doesn't matter which edition. My mother is trying to get me to read Still Alice by loaning me her copy. I'm not ready for it at the moment.

Lol, I'm hoping to go to the cinema to see it again sometime this week as my BIL's wife has free tickets, it's just convincing the hubby that I need to see it again is the annoying apart as apparently no-one needs to see it.

I shocked myself a bit this weekend - I completed my GR challenge of 75 books

, so I decided to increase it to 100 as I didn't want to spend 5 months adding to a completed challenge (just another weird thing about me, I guess

).

Loopy what did you think of the movie the first go round? I'm not even kidding the finale was almost more than I could handle... in a GOOD way. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything sexier than Joe's performance. That song was the perfect choice for that scene.

Don't even get me started on the mini mart scene. I was just so thrilled that Joe had such a major role in this one. He wasn't in the last movie near enough for me.

So how long until clips of the movie show up on YouTube? Lol

Just wondering how to download fan-fiction of Blogspot? I'm wanting to download, so I can read it on my kindle but Calibre doesn't work on this website, and unfortunately my Kindle is one of the old ones, so it doesn't like blogspot.

You're doing well hun, I thought 75 was ambitious for me being such a slow reader but to be honest I've read more than that as I've re-read some books/fics as well.
I've absolutely no idea what my top 3 would be, but I'm sure if/when I check what I've rated books I could probably pick them out easier as a lot of my reads have been 2/3 stars max with a few 4/5 stars in the mix.

I FLOVED it the first time round, that's why I jumped at the chance when my SIL invited me to see at the cinema as even though I have a 60" TV, I reckon it'll be way better on a massive screen.

I'm surprised there's nothing on youtube already but after checking I've not found anything apart from some of the songs.

This works with (most) blogspot blogs unless the owner has made it private for some reason, it's pretty easy to use.

So, i got another "Buddy" request from someone I don't know. Maybe they are a lurker, because they have only posted a few times on the 152 thread. What exactly does being a "buddy" get you? Am I missing something?

The last time I okay'd a "buddy" I didn't know from here, I got inundated with PM requests for real ebooks - I knew they didn't know me at that point, since I mainly read fanfics, school books and cookbooks. But I get PM's from people I'm not buddies with, so I don't think you need to be a buddy for that.

It is just kind of strange.

I read this one and enjoyed it. But one of my super powers enables me to ignore whatever eye color the author assigns to the character if I don't agree with it. So I can't tell you if she did the blue eye thing here or not.

I think she tries to leave off the eye color whenever possible because readers complain about it.

I think Edward does have green eyes in this one, but Bella has blue eyes. I can usually ignore it, but if she mentions it a lot, then it is hard to ignore....

I totally forgot to mention about putting the chapters in order

, other than that I think it's probably one of the better blog convertors I've used but that's mainly cos it converts to epub.

It is good, I've managed to download a few. However their is just one that wont download. Well it does but it doesn't show the chapters. Seems like the author really has made it very difficult. Looks like I have no choice but to read it on my laptop. $:-\$

The author's probably set the blog to private (or something like that) cozitrunsinmyblood did that to hers ages ago for a while, meaning that you can't copy anything off of it.
