  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
Thread #7 - We are crazy talkers here! Join in the fun!

ADULT DISCUSSION HERE, SO TRY TO KEEP IT CLEAN! UM NO, WAIT! IF YOU ARE EASILY OFFENDED, LOOK AWAY NOW!

This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so please play nice

Because we know drypen's watching

Finished Blood by cupcakeriot... I REALLY liked it until the end It felt rushed! Boo

But still was really good... I couldn't put it down, and was up until 1:30 am last night finishing it. It sucked trying to swipe to the next page to nothingness!! Grrrr...

I am liking it so far. I am on chapter 13 out of 73. It really isn't helping me with my crochet projects. I have a few pairs of slippers to make and another blanket to start.....LMAO

Lol, just one of the reasons why I love it, that and I actually don't mind Alice in it as she doesn't bug the hell outta me.  :P

I just finished A Rough Start by itzmegan73 and have started The Tutor.  There were times when some things in A Rough Start almost felt realistic!  I enjoyed the story and hope I'll like The Tutor.

I love The Rough Start another fic I've read numerous times (okay I really like all of itzmegan73's fics  :P), that's what I liked about TRS that it's more realistic than some fics/books I've read with similar subjects.
I'm sure you'll like The The Tutor, even though it's a HS fic itzmegan73's writing is pretty good and it's quite realistic in how some of the things are dealt with.  ;)

All this talk makes me wanna re-read both of them, but my TBR wouldn't like it if I did.  :D

Merry Christmas!!! even though it is closer to New Year's now so I might as well start wishing everyone Happy New Year!!!

We had 6 kids 8 and under at my in laws house so I haven't found a chance to get on the computer much, but we are headed back home tomorrow.  I think everything will fit in the suitcases.  My parents apparently were not thinking about transport when they bought my little man a present that was bigger than him.

I just finished Twilesque, it sure has some different characters from cannon or at least perversions (not the dirty kind) from cannon.  I can't remember who was talking about it as a bad example of something, but the idea was interesting.  I don't think I'll even try to read on the flight home tomorrow, two weeks ago my little man just wanted to run up and down the aisles and say hi to people.

LOL! Traveling with kids is always fun. :P

I think I talked about Twilesque. I'm reading the sequel WIP. She really made Alice crazy and not in a good way. I could deal with that.  But it was the Bella being a Mary Sue (has all the answers, big power, etc..) to the point she basically takes over the running of the family, even as a human, that I had a problem with. I didn't mind it so much the first time I read it. But when I reread it prior to the start of the sequel, I realized I didn't really like Bella that much.

I usually take the week between Christmas and New Years off. For a few days of vacation time, I get a nice vacation.  So the plan was to get some cleaning out done this time.  Sigh.  I keep getting stuck in the office area with the pile of paper that needs shredding.  So then I play on the computer or watch TV or read.  I don't think I will ever get this place clean.  :NeenerNeener: :banghead: :pulling

Finished reading A Mate for Edward. It ends kind of abruptly IMO. The story also takes a while to really build. It wasn't bad. Sp&G errors were minor.

It's not a fic but I finished reading A Very Dirty Christmas (sequel to Prick) last night, it had even less plot than Prick  :o but I loved it.
It was Hot, funny (laughed so loud at a scene involving the Senator and Ella dressed as an Elf and Santa and another scene involving a monkey that it woke the hubby up, which p!ssed him off as he had work today, whoops  :P), sexy and sweet - just what you need in a Christmas novella.  ;D ;)

LOL! Yes! But what always stops me is the need to clean the house before I can let a cleaner come in.  I can't let her/him see how bad it gets..... they would charge me a fortune to clean it.   :D :D :D  :o

I loved that one.  Yes it does take a while to build but I loved that Edward and Carlisle werent so passive. It did end abruptly wish it had a sequel

Yes, I like Edward and Carlisle in this one too. I wasn't able to PM her about an epilogue to tie up loose ends, so I reviewed a previous chapter that I hadn't reviewed and asked there.
