This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

So I uploaded my calibre library onto my new computer ( I copied the whole file as is to a new location) but my custom columns (status characters etc) that I added prior to the upload wont fill in. Do I really have to manually re add those books to get those columns to fill in??

No. Just got to the books/libray thing at the top. Select Switch/Create library, browse to wherever you put your old library, click on use the previously existing library at the new location and hit okay. That should bring up the library with all the columns.

This is strange. I've moved my library many times with no issues. You have to keep the integrity of the main library folder. I even put it on an SD card for my Yoga. It worked without a problem.

The only time I had a problem was when I used Google Drive to transfer. Copy has worked great. But you have to wait until it finishes syncing the entire folder. It takes a while. Depending on how big your library is.

This is interesting. Only because I know how much mine weigh as the doctor told me when she reconstructed them. Though the left one used to be larger, they are much more even now. The benefits of a perfectionist plastic surgeon.
