ok, I am going to hold off in buying this and see what you all think of it first. The changes I read in the spoilers don't sound very promising.

Okay, I'm somewhat alright with this idea. I will look at it as a fan fiction gone awry. But I just checked the reviews on Amazon.

But really? Beau and Edythe?  I could maybe understand the Edythe,  that was a 1920's type name beginning with an E. But who the heck calls their kid born in the late 80's Beaufort. No. Just no.   Brandon, Brian, Bill, etc.... 

Beaufort is from the 1800's.  And the South. 

Ok so twilight is trending right now on Facebook and I was really excited until they started talking gender swap for the characters.. I just don't understand 

I don't get why she couldn't leave Eric etc as they are instead of swapping their genders, but I suppose that would mean she would have of had to develop their characters more than she did in Twilight.  ;DI'm gonna look at it the same way hun, or otherwise reading it might turn into a matter of Life and Death.  :PRead You are not allowed to view links. So she says it doesn't include Midnight Sun because she didn't have time to finish it, but she did have time to finish a complete re-imagining with a gender swap?  Because that should include much more the search and replace.

I am still not sure how I feel about .. But I will give it a go!! Anyone else going to read it??

I can see doing it to the school kids, as Bella was "friends" with Jessica, and Eric and the other boys kept trying to ask her out. I get changing Jacob. I don't see the point in swapping the Cullens or the teachers or Billy Black. Changing Billy to Bonnie will have to totally change their friendship, wouldn't it?

I'm sure I'll probably continue reading it, when I'm done with the Sterek fic I'm reading, but I don't imagine it's going to pull me in the same way. As a female, and as a quiet, introspective, clumsy, shy bookworm myself, it was easy to identify with Bella, it just won't be the same with Beau. (and GOD that name! I get the why, "Bella, please, not Isabella", but couldn't it have been Chris, not Christopher, instead?

Well, at this point, I am not going to buy this book. I agree with others on here, that she had time to do this, but not finish Midnight Sun?? What a joke. It just feels like the carpet has been pulled out from under us.  I am sure we aren't the only ones that figured the bonus material would be Midnight Sun.  Good Luck to those that are going to brave the new book and read it.

Maybe this will kind of re-ignite her passion for the series, and be what she needs to finally finish Midnight Sun. I'd think, if even her mom wants it, she'd have finished it already, but what do I know.

I'm with you, if I were going to change things, I'd definitely change the whole imprinting thing. I wouldn't take it out altogether, but I'd change it so imprinting isn't possible until both reach maturity, none of that imprinting on babies BS. I'd also have taken out sparkles and cold, marble skin, because the sparkles are silly, and I can't imagine sleeping on cold, marble skinned Edward as a human. Cold, ok, but hard as marble? Ick!


I have a question about the Calibre fanfiction downloader experts on this page:  I've been told that I should be able to do the "Get story URLs from Webpage" from my AO3 Marked for Later list, with the fanfic downloader and calibre, and get all the fics on each page, with one click, like you can do on any main page or author page. However, every time I try to do this, it tells me there are no valid story urls on the page. Has anyone else here tried this and had it work? I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I don't know if I'm on the wrong page on AO3 or what. I do have my ao3 log in info entered into the personal.ini thing in the plugin on calibre.
