For anyone that uses the Spoiler Button and noticed a slight change in it.

Mr A has modified it so that it no longer spreads across the width of the post
and
you can label it any wordage you wish eg

instead of  this  - note the word "spoiler" is the default wordage

the length of the bar will be as long as the text you write between the  =  and the ] after the label

Code: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

[spoiler=write your message here ] write the text you want hidden here [/spoiler]
Note: you cannot use any codes such as bold or font ect within the label, just plain text 

Also you may have to hit Ctrl+F5 to reset your view (should be a once off event) * I had to do this for mine to work*

Just write etc whatever you want to be hidden then highlight it and then click on sp

Lol, well it did take me a year to make my first post, so I reckon I've more than made up for it now. 

Just an FYI, there's a rumor going around FB that there is going to be a big pull this weekend on FFnet. 

I'm starting to notice a pattern here that happens during the summer.  Do you think maybe they are trying to remove stuff under the guise of getting rid of stories not in compliance with the TOS just to empty server space and save money?  It seems to happen every summer when the kids who write other types of fanfics that no one reads have time to explore.

I've been traveling the last couple weeks and haven't done my normal updates of WIPs, so hopefully, I don't lose any.   

Does anyone know any tricks for converting pdfs to epub when the normal calibre conversion results in an epub of crazy characters?  I also tried convertfiles, but it kept saying an error occured.

 I am trying to convert the pdf of hwimsey's The Lost Boys from the index.

Some of the older pdfs are hard or impossible to convert because of the way they were created.  I think they were, in essence, a picture or scan, rather than a conversion from one format to another.  You might see if you can convert it to a word document, do any necessary clean up, then convert to epub.
