I *LOVED* this story but I'm afraid she's abandoned it Not sure why I'm sharing since is not completed.. but I still have hope that it'll live again! You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Just finished Bared to You by Sylvia Day. I can see why everyone loves Gideon Cross, but my lord, Eva is seriously one of the most annoying characters I've read in a long time! She throws a hissy fit every other chapter and flees the scene, like a game of hide and go seek. I'm trying to understand her character, but every time she puts her foot down about something and tries to get her point across, Gideon was up her butt and refused to give her any alone time and it's okay~ because what she really wants is comfort.
You'll love it I have them too but I'm not really sure why
I love this story too! And I read all the Down Maggie Down outtakes. So good.
I rather enjoyed them, I found them easy going which is perfect for me at the moment.
Oh yes, that bugged me too, Eva did NOT know how to talk and resolve anything, her solution was always to run.
What are the Down Maggie Down outtakes? Hmmm.....I wasn't that impressed with Date, I'm hoping she got better....
What are the Down Maggie Down outtakes?
Well, I called them outtakes, but really it was a contest of one shots on killing off/getting rid of the Maggie character that was causing so many problems. Similar to the Kill Carlisle contest based on Savage's Offsides. The author shows as Down Maggie Down. Some are hilarious. Some are good revenge types and a few were just okay. If I remember right, Maggie out takes were stories written as part of a challenge by the author of how to take down Edward's ex-girlfriend.I flounced Date, and was surprised when there were multiple sequels. I agree, I wasn't that impressed.
Oh good! I thought is was just me in regards to Date, and are you as gobsmacked as me with the thought that she's P2P?! Going by Date I'm just...well flabbergasted and rather annoyed?
I am considering downloading Emancipation Proclamation by Kharizzmatik, still not sure I will read it, but while I am doing a major update of my calibre library, I am considering it. Also are all the outtakes worth it?
My god it's been months since I've been here!!!!! I'm so excited to be back! RL is been so full... how are you girls? I've missed you!! PS I'm sorry for my english but I'm really out of practice!
Arrrggggh!!!! Don't get me started on Catastrophia's Me and Mr. Cullen.
I am considering downloading Emancipation Proclamation by Kharizzmatik, still not sure I will read it, but while I am doing a major update of my calibre library, I am considering it. I avoided it for a while and I can't remember why, is there a reason to continue avoiding it (other than the length) like the Perfect Wife reason (haven't read that, thanks to this forum telling me what it is about)? Also are all the outtakes worth it? Or should I just get the published version? Thanks.Sidenote - I just figured out/got the plugin to deDRM the free kindle books I have so now I can put them on my kobo too finally, made me very happy. (Only 2 books, but enjoying the feeling of accomplishment)
“Happy 18th birthday,” he said. I looked at him and cocked an eyebrow. He smiled. “I can’t have a minor working in my home, child labor laws and al that. Merely a precaution."
Every single copy of Emancipation Proclamation I've downloaded seems like it had some glitch to the original copy, because words are spaced out, random numbers are thrown in and the grammar is off. Sometimes Isabella is spelled, Isabella, then in the next sentence it's Isabela. I think I'd probably go with the published version of this story, just hoping that the author did some heavy editing. That's wishful thinking on my part though. EP, is one of the few "big" Twifics that I was never able to get in to. I think the plot is interesting, but from what I've read it seemed like the execution was very juvenile, not to mention how awkward the writing is. It shifts from Third to First person POV and the dialogue made me cringe. Does anyone know anything about the author? Are they younger? The heavy subject matter seems like something a teenager would romanticize and write about: a human trafficking love story. Edit: now you've got me reading through my copy and completely forgot how quickly this story sends me into a rage. Constant contradictions! Earlier in the story Isabella asks Carlisle why he bought a slave instead of hiring a maid or cook, and he tells her that he's SOOOOO involved with organize crime that he can't have any people hired that could be potential witnesses to his crimes. So obviously he has to have a slave to do his house work. Because being caught with a child you BOUGHT doesn't carry a heavy fine? Then this....... Too paranoid to have people on your payroll, but pretends to sympathize with child labor laws. I can't.
I have them, if no one posts I will put all three up.
I read that they are in the index.. can you point me in that direction? I've been searching and I'm not exactly sure where that is located! I have "How to Live with a movie star" but am missing the other two gracias!!! <3
