Twilighty things: The Consequences of Miracles was SO good, I think I mentioned it last week. It felt like a punch in the gut. I also loved Upstream, or Swimming Against The Tide by pbswimmer. Yes, it was a mess but I loved it. So dramatic and I was not used to a POV from nearly every damn character you meet.

Is Upstream still on FF.net? I can't seem to find that one. I have Swimming Against The Tide on my TBR list!!

Nope, Upstream is the published version of Swimming. It deals with child abuse so I don't know if that's a trigger warning or not. I always include that before recommending it.

I'm reading Spin and Sway by Pattyrose and I really like it.

Just wanted to share my "thrilling" meeting this morning with clients from an American firm. The American visitor almost made me cream my pants. I kid you not, he looked sooooo much like Johnny Castle! Squeeeeeeee, it was like, am i fcking dreaming or what??!! I was posting a pic of him on this thread just an hour before my meeting! Did i conjure him up from my fantasy?!

While we were waiting for the others to arrive, i stood up and told my officemate "can i have a word with you outside". When we stepped out of the conference room, i pulled out my phone and showed her a pic of JC. "Can you tell me if that guy looks like the guy in this pic?" She said "yes! who is the guy in the pic?" i said "a p0rn star i watch".  She burst out laughing and said: "you're really crazy! How am i gonna look at that guy without mentally undressing him now?!" I said, "join the club."

we put on our game face and went back in to start the meeting. I was super conscious to act business-like when he would look at me while giving his spiel. I so just wanted to do this and stare

But thankfully was able to make the appropriate comments and facial expressions like this


It's so hard to act proper and respectable when your imagination runs wild during meetings 

That guy sure made my day! Never have the words "it was a pleasure meeting you" been so sincere on my part... And he had a nice firm handshake, smooth strong hand, with no ring

Talk about scary - just found this Jackson Rathbone story on Gossip Cop - glad to hear he and family are okay.

Jackson Rathbone had some scary moments on Thursday when his plane made an emergency landing after one of the engines exploded.

The Twilight actor was with his wife Sheila Hafsadi and their son Monroe on a JetBlue flight for Austin, Texas when things got a little terrifying.

When the plane’s engine exploded and the cabin filled with smoke, it was forced to land in Long Beach, California, where Rathbone and other passengers went down an inflated ramp to safety.

At least one person was reportedly hospitalized, but there were fortunately no serious injuries.

Rathbone documented the entire incident on his WhoSay account (see below).

“I just couldn’t stop kissing my family and thanking my God,” he wrote.

Gossip Cop is glad everyone is safe.

Ok, I am about to lose my mind if I don't find this fanfic. The plot involves Bella dumping Edward because of Edward's family and Edward and Rose are good friends but not lovers. Bella may be a doctor in this story as well and there is a part where Edward is dating Tanya and she finds an engagement ring but they break up. If this is the wrong section I apologize and please direct me to the proper thread. 45 minutes of google searching has turned up nothing and I am at my wits end. Thanks in advance!

There is a thread link listed at the top of this thread for finding stories. You will have better luck there finding the story.

I am currently 20 chapters in to Summer Vacation. So far just a few spelling errors. The author advises in one of the author notes that this is a rated T story so I'm not sure yet what changes to make it a M rated story. It's very fluffy and seems like it will continue. So you angst whoors this is not for you. It is a mostly canon story. I'll keep you guys updated as to how it is so you can decide if you want to rot all your teeth out from the sweetness.

LOL! Thanks for rotting your teeth out for us.  I really should try it, being a fluff lover.  I remember RD Mickey liked it, but she also read it as a WIP.

I think I'm gonna leave reading it for a while as I love my angst and can only do fluffy if I'm really desperate for something to read or bored to death. 

You could always do 2 or 3 chapters a day. They're short chapters. It's gonna take a while to read through the entire story with just alternating between 2 just to break up the super sweetness.
