I just finished the All Souls Trilogy (A Discovery of Witches, Shadow of the Night and The Book of Life) by Deborah Harkness. Thank you to whoever recommended it a while ago. I enjoyed the plot and the history behind the story and that the characters were older (not in the ancient vampire olderness, some were) just they were not all in their 20s. It was an interesting mixing of different supernatural creatures- witches, vampires and demons. I would agree with some critics that it dragged at time (but I read the whole trilogy back to back) and that there were too many characters in the second book (reading an ebook, I didn't find the reference list of characters at the end, until I finished). I thought the writing got better as the trilogy went on, but there was enough action, things were not just handed to the characters and it didn't seem like tons of bad stuff happened to the characters just for the sake of the plot (just enough bad stuff). I felt like there were several references in book 3 that were left unfinished, but it is listed as the final book of a trilogy, so we will see.
I agree! I started The Book of Life over the weekend! I love these books! Excited to see where book 3 goes!
Okay that settles it. The All Souls Trilogy goes on my need to read list. I've been thinking about it but that's about as far as it got for several months. Let me finish the Divergent series by Roth and several Maeve Binches and Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark Hunter books that I'm behind on and then I will seriously look for a reasonably priced used copy of the first book. As to the restrained kissing in Breaking Dawn by the time they were vampires - maybe things were cooling between the two by then and they weren't getting along? A friend mentioned back when they did the last Comic Con that they were sniping at each other when they didn't think anyone was looking - plus Kristen was in Diva mode - and Rob was just ready for the franchise to be over.

It has more to do with Mr Admin not wanting to see it. What I understand is that if it can be manscaped? It can't be shown. So, g-strings must be worn. And? If you have a pic of RP procreating? I ranted (on here) exactly this when I watched BD pt 2 the other day. Anyone who saw those two kiss should have clocked onto the fact there was something up with this relationship. She didn't "Frickin grab his head and get to it already!!!!!" because she didn't want to, (that probably went for him too) didn't fancy him and certainly didn't love him, even pretend kissing looked awkwardly painful, she just not that good an actress!
*AMEN* lady! She really isn't... She brings the same "character" to every single movie she is a part of! Its extremely annoying!

The conclusion of a bad jump is a concussion...see, the author is waaaayyy ahead of us! And can i just rant that it took me 2.5 hrs to get home from work...a 19km distance! Driving, or crawling between bouts of complete standstill, makes me want to jump so i can get a concussion so ii won't need to drive. Several days a week of this is really making me want to retire...then i recall my family likes to be fed, clothed and sheltered from the elements so there goes my wishful thinking. Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Sorry to hear that your commute for work sucks. Do you have a park & ride system where you live that could get you home faster? Like here we have a train system in the city and people who work in the downtown core will park & ride as it is much faster and cheaper.
