I looked through the links on top of all the posts, and maybe I missed it, but is there a list of all the fanfic authors who have gone on to publish original works?I am going to do a major update to my reader and was thinking of getting some real books to put on it too. I'll have to scroll back and try and find all of the series that y'all have been talking about and I have been skimming to figure out what is good in real books (prolly won't go for In Death though if it is like 40 some odd books, sorry)
If you are talking about PTP then you would use jklly links found at the top of the index list You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
I am not looking for the stories that were originally fanfics and were pulled to publish, but authors who started off as fanfic authors and have published original fiction like Nolebucgrl/Amy Noelle.
Question for my fellow Kindle Users, Do you use AZW or Mobi Format? and which one do you think is better?
Hi I'm new
Mobi. Not sure what the heck AZW is other than proprietary format of Amazon. Which means it may not be readable on anything else. Not that there are many readers that use the mobi format anymore.
Brace yourself.Booked! It's a newbie! Get out the questionnaire!
Err? Hello? A blanket agreement? You should know me better than that! I would tell you , if you asked, because you're a Padawan but I wouldn't tell Loopy, for instance, and I sure as hell wouldn't want anyone to tell me.
Yeah, I don't want to know either! I love to be blown away by a surprising non-HEA! Unfortunately this happened only once before with The Elusive Mr. Cullen. I was really stunned back then and it was such a great experience.

While I'm on the subject; It Had To Be You by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, is part of the Chicago Stars series and featured age play and rape fantasies UGH but it was published in 1994, and it was the woman who was real kinky. Although, the author tried to make it seem more like it was because she had a stressful job and the only place where she could lose some control was in the bedroom. I'm just thinking of all the older novels that predate 50 Shades that were taboo at the time, because I still don't get why 50 Shades is such a big deal. I know there have been plenty of aggressive erotic novels, is it because Christian Grey is a billionaire? Is it wish fulfillment?
Since I've seen it mentioned a few times, can anyone tell me how they liked the Crossfire series if they've read it? I've read such polarizing reviews about the books. Mostly I've seen it compared to Fifty Shades of Grey, because both feature young broken billionaires, although the Crossfire series seems to be better written without the need for BDSM. Although I don't know how I feel about Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents. that might be too much drama for me. I'm really getting bored with some of the more popular "erotic" novels that introduce a BDSM plot line out of nowhere, because the majority of them feature some female that's described as helpless and sexually innocent and is introduced to a whole world of wonder~ by the big bad rich dominant daddy. Then there's usually a reason for why this guy gets off on tying up women, which is normally some childhood trauma. I've only read a couple stories where the "Hero" in these romance novels is just a freak in the bedroom because that's how his tastes run. I know Knight was mentioned, by Kristen Ashley, which I read and seemed to like for the most part, but was really put off by his occupation. But he was down for whatever. I remember reading Tara Sue Me's series trilogy when it was fanfic and liking those stories, because Edward just craved control in everything but he was a giant dick in the way he introduced Bella to his interests. The Up in the Air series by RK Lilley is another one that's similar. I read them and liked them for the most part, but noticed that again, there's some drama with a clingy ex-submissive.
I think it has more to do with e-readers. Women can now read soft p0rn on their e-readers without covers to give them away. So you have the new wave of mommy p0rn. The popularity of 50 Shades has more to do with timing, a little bit of kinky, and some of the classic elements of what women want in their romance (handsome, alpha hero; unlikely heroine; wealth and adventure).
