Do you not think we could get easily get another Discovery book? There are threads not totally tied off, if you know what I mean...
This is true!! I enjoyed it so much, I really hope she does continue the story.
I agree that there were several things that were hinted at, but then we never saw anything more, or maybe I just try to read too much into things.
Can't believe you said that about BC, now I don't feel guilty any more for spending tonight with your hubby. I've not got around to reading the latest update yet, but by the sounds of it it's gonna be a really good one.
Hoor! Keep your hands off my hubby! You don't think BC is attractive, do you? He's a bit of an arrogant *rsehole Can someone alerts us to when Wisp is marked Complete? If I'm still alive and have all my faculties I might actually reading it....Kimki. I noticed when I went to investigate Beauty From Pain that I'd read one of Georgia Cates' books before, Going Under, it was just saying.....
Lol, Your hubby wasn't complaining and he was with one of his BFF's James McAvoy, so it was a great 3-some. BC is alright, I definitely wouldn't kick him out of bed for a bag of potato chips! You'll know when Wisp is finished as we (who's reading it) will probably have a party if it ends how we want it to. You should read The Beauty series as its a really good series, Jack Henry is lust worthy but I've never known a guy to go "South" so much though.
After that recc what else can I do but read it?!
Damn, this fic is looong! Am only 1,100+ pages in with 2,500 more to go. It is an ok fic, the writing is ok but am not "feeling" it much. Taking a while to get to the action and dwelliing a lot on feelings, establishing how "NY can't be that small a place, can it?" Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.I can't wait for it to finish. I don't want to stop because i've gone so far not to finish it. You know what i mean? Looking to be 3 stars at best unless there is a drastic change in the next bazillion pages. Sigh...trudging on.....
No I haven't read your review for the chapter. I guess we just have a very similar idea about it.
I think it was RD Mickey that loved it. I couldn't get into it at the time. But then I couldn't get into Thief of Hearts either. So.... I read the Gravity Series instead Actually, NYC isn't very big. I could see running into people you know there.
I remember RD Mickey raving about it, but I got tired just looking at how long it was!
LOL! I no longer have a problem flouncing, so the length wasn't scary. It just started out blah. Looked like it was going to be angsty. And I wasn't in the mood for angsty.
But it wasn't the good kind of angsty imho. I started this last year, but couldn't get into it at all...and it was sooooo long. I was scared of the amount of pages. As far as I remember this one caused my ability to flounce. I enjoyed Thief Of Hearts, but certainly not a top ten fic for me. I'm not so much into "action" or crime fics. I'm mostly interested in character studies. The plot isn't so important if the characters are interesting and deep and their mind is able to keep me on my toes. I think that's what draw me into Twilight in the first place. Not the plot itself, but so much insight into one character and an opposite character whose mind remains rather cryptic. I remember how I was yearning to look into Edward's mind and how happy I was when I found out about Midnight Sun. After that came disappointment of course...and then fanfiction.
What's funny is that I actually like action/thriller/mystery type books. I used to switch between them and lighter romances. But in my opinion, not too many fanfic writers do these genres very well. They tend to be okay. I usually figure out the answer before the end. But every so often a good writer emerges. I think it is a more difficult style to write than romance, so not just any writer can do it.
I have to agree with you Ella, I flove a good thriller/suspense mystery ( how else did I get through 38 JD Robb in a row) but I have yet to read a really GOOD one in Twifics
So I'm at the end of book two (yes, I started the series yesterday) and I have to say book 1 was....entertaining; what'sherface, the heroine, was funny (though I have to tell you some of her oneliners were ripped straight off of Carrie from Sex and The City. Truth) and What'shisface was sexy. Come to book 2 and he's a p.u.s.s.y and she's a moaning minnie.....And F8ck if I don't have a third book to slog through, I'm not a happy bunny. Some authors should just give it up already with the book series, admit to being a one trick pony (one good trick is better than 4 mediocre ones!) and give humanity a break.
