This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general.  But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement. 

Okay, here is a place to discuss what you are reading, ask for recommendations and complain about the writing.

Do you remember us on here waiting for Dusty updates....Dusty was, if not the first, then one of the first fics I read when I first joined FFN, I had NO IDEA there were stories on there that weren't finished; got to chapter 19 and ?! I can neither confirm or deny that I might have emailed the 'help desk' to tell them the site was broken.....from Chapter 19 to 38 was pure and utter hell     

While I didn't email the help desk, I was also quite surprised to learn that not all stories were finished.  The story I discovered this on still isn't finished, and even though the last author's note says it will be, that was back in 2010

I've only read Puddle Jumping and FAP (both FF) but really liked them both!  I will read the rest of her stuff one of these days.   I did buy Where We Fell when it came out because like we discussed earlier here about YG, I just wanted to support Amber.  Her writing is amazing!    Need to push WWF up my TBR list too!

I've read all of 107's FFs but I can't remember which is which, for instance- published story Beatless, which FF is that?! I bought Where We Fell too but I've just not got around to it.

I came very close to doing a bad thing today.  I've recently read two short, older Twifics.  So I was searching for another older Twific to read.  I thought, "Oh, I'll start Bad Habit Book One by AmeryMarie.  I know it's complete because there's a sequel."  I read a few pages, but wanted to double check length, that it was indeed complete, etc.  Well, good thing I did.  First, it's fairly long and it does not end in a good place.  So, I thought, okay, I need to see how complete Book Two is and can I live with it if it's not complete.  Well, Book Two is not complete and it does NOT end in a good place.  So if you haven't taken the plunge - it looks quite angsty, all you angst hoors - DON'T.

Isn't that part of the angst? Partially completed stories that haven't been updated in 4 years that end in a really bad spot.  That is total angst.  You can be angry, then sit and cry when you realize the author removed their accounts so you can't even rage at them.

Yup. Total angst fest.   

And why I'm not an angst hoor.

Don't forget that Book One and Book Two are both long.  You'd read more than 1000 pages and still not have a resolution.  I don't need that kind of frustration in my life.

Loopy, Kimki, OBL do you get the impression that these ladies are taking the piss out of us? I think an AngstHoor's ability to embrace pain means that we'll give someone a beat-down quicker than a Fluffy, including renegade authors who run out on their fics!

Reminds me that Shame is on TV this weekend (I did have this on DVD but got ruined in the flood) and I seriously can't wait as I've just sorted out our new TV today and it's 60", so I think that will make my viewing pleasure even better (though not as good as when I saw it cinema) than it normally is when I watch it. 

You're married. You can't be any one's fluffer, I'm still technically a single gal. What channel is Shame on? I'm so over these huge TV's I was very happy with a small 19"(for when I remembered I had a TV to watch) in the corner of my lounge where it was unobtrusive...Went to a gala dinner at the beginning of the year and won a raffle, the price was a TV so big I had to reconfigure the whole lounge and run new cabling! And now it sits, the focus of attention like a really, really bad piece of art. Hate it. Should have sold it.

There's no harm in fantasising about being anyone's fluffer, even though the hubby sure makes the most of it. 


I'm quite a techie when it comes to TV's/DVD/Blu-Ray players etc - I can (and have) "borrowed" satellite TV from a neighbours house in the past when we couldn't afford a TV licence and then re-routed it into all the rooms with TV's in our house. 

The hubby said to get a TV for our house , but he wanted no more than 38" so it wouldn't look to out of place but me being me that's not big enough, he's not too happy about it as I spent more than he wanted and took a chunk out of our furniture money. 
Our new one looks alright though as it's actually in our wall, I asked the contractors to build in a place for a TV in the wall, so they did. 

But our totally understand what you mean hun, about having a TV that being too big for a room.

It's on Sunday at 10.05pm on Ch4.

LOL! I just know that being an angst hoor means you enjoy feeling all those great emotions.   Not necessarily that you start fights easily.  *whispers and cringes away* I didn't mean it in a negative way. *runs and hides*   

Us fluffers ... um, I mean fluffy lovers tend to avoid all the drama.
