  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
My brother has been diagnosed with ADD, and since we are very similar in our easily distractedness? It wouldn't surprise me if that is part of my problem.  I used to read a lot of Harlequin romances. Quick with a happy ending. Any angst is short, relatively. Heros tend to be on the alpha side.  Then I would read Patricia Cornwall or Catherine Coulter's mysteries.  And humorous romances. Oh and Vampfics. ;D

I think Nora's stories drag and don't have enough humorous moments for me.  And remember, I'm not an angst hoor. Most of those "touching" stories everyone loves do nothing for me. I am weird. I totally admit it.  :D

I used to read Barbara Cartland - couldn't get enough of her - until the day I picked up a book and couldn't figure out whether I'd read the book or not - and I was keeping track of the numbers on the books so that I wouldn't pick up a repeat.  About that time, I dislocated my foot and ended up in a walking cast for 6 weeks - and I got a box of Harlequin Temptations (which aren't printed anymore) in the mail and got hooked on those and the American Romance series and the Superromances.  I finally had to quit because I couldn't keep up with the books and I burned out on them.  I graduated to other romances.  I still occasionally read a Harlequin.   Her stories drag?  I love her conversations between characters - they are so funny.  Its a good thing I live alone because I start laughing and anyone around me would be giving me weird looks.

onebitelover - before I forget it - Danielle's books have gotten better -or at least the last few have.   She has this habit of beating you over the head with the same info over and over (alright already the guy's a jerk - shut up already - you've made your point) - she's eased up on that and the books are more enjoyable.

Okay, okay! I give.

And? I read one or two Barbara Cartlands. Regency romances were definitely not my cup of tea. ;)

But I loved Betty Neels. Even though they are all the same too. :D :D :D

Wow, I haven't read Nora's books, and I have to say based on everything that has come out here about her, I won't be any time in the future either. To me, there are plenty of other great authors out there that I can choose from.....Once I am able to put down EXB fanfiction that is.

Ella, I read that link you posted and OMG! That girl needs to be sued and stopped. There is no way that shyte would fly here in Canada either. I think it is rather insulting for her to say that there is no originality any more. I mean, just because she doesn't have any, doesn't mean no one else does. Unfortunately all of the publicity is likely driving her book sales. She says that she is the new generation? Well, lets hope that isn't true!

I saw this on a Buzzfeed list of "27 people who are more awkward than you", its a little old but it still made me laugh.

This was great, what wasn't to love about this Rob + Ellen = TV Heaven.  :D
It's annoying that Ellen's not shown on UK TV any more, so I've gotta watch it online (not always the easiest thing to do).

Oh Mrs F, I managed to stay the last few days in London and not break it.  :D :D

Love London it's a great great city.   I thought I'd be nice and leave it in one piece so others could enjoy it after we left.

Ok, so I think I've said before that I never really got what you guys were talking about with Fassbender being all that...    Well, I watched the latest X-men movie last night with him playing Magneto and I'm hooked!  70's Fassy is mighty f-i-n-e!

Just finished the Fallaway series by Penelope Douglas, I really thought I wasn't gonna survive after starting Bully but the next 2 books in the series are definitely better than the 1st.

Read Beneath The Burn ( it's a stand alone, thank God, I've read nothing but series, it feels like, for ages), I think you'll enjoy it.
