Dang Girl! Lots of reading happening I just finished MOTU, reading the outtakes. It's still a fav

Out of all of those fics, which one is your fav? My TBR list is taunting me, but nothing is jumping out.

I'm the same way with the Olympics, I just like to cheer for whoever is doing awesome and putting effort and are nice looking LOL. Like not good looking but like nice people? Does that even make sense? I don't know what I'm saying...

Hmmm.  They all had their good and bad points.  I liked the It's Real Life, but there is a lot of non-B/E sex and getting drunk.  When they are finally together together, she no longer fools around with others. But if it bothers you to see her with others, you might want to skip that one.  When you finally get the full story on Bella's background, the way she is makes sense.  And by the end, she does grow up? Not sure that is the right word for it.

I Dare You was good, and had a good mix of humor and drama.  And I loved Edward in Disguised Intentions.  It was a little different, with some unexpected plot twists.  But it drags in places. Both are Doctorwards. Though there really isn't much about the doctor part.  It is just their profession.  Actually, I think Emmett is Bella's brother and a cop in both of them.

I hope that gives you something? ;)

I just finished re-reading Just Breath. I don't mind it, but you are right there are differences from SM's vamps. I went to this as I was craving
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I have been mostly re-reading stories. Right now I am reading Rabbit Heart by Kitsushel. It isn't marked complete, but I think it is. I also have the following lined up:

Unanswered Prayers by Sparklingtwilight
First & Last by miallie.h
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
I Saw you Coming by Saritadreaming
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I have to admit I have been struggling lately. We just pasted the 6 month anniversary to our son passing. Some days it is very hard to keep going, but I do it for my family. The rest of my boys and my hubby need me.

Hubby asked if we could get cable or satelite tv, but I told him that until he is working full time it just isn't going to happen, so no Olympics for us. We do have Netflix and tons of DVD & blue rays, so at least that is something.

Well off to go back to Rabbit Heart. Almost done. Only 7-8 more chapters. Sorry if I brought anyone down, but I needed to tell someone.

finally got the spoiler to work....
I know what you mean about loss.  It's been almost a year since my mom passed.  I want to call her then remember I can't.  And I know it is worse for you because it was your child and unexpected.  I had time to prepare.

I was rereading stuff as well, but decided it was time to make a dent in my TBR list.  I am getting a little bored though.  Like I read 2 blue lines, which I thought I had already read.  Turns out I read Coming to Terms (?) by Ginny31 and they are remarkably the same.  I don't know if I've read Rabbit Heart.  It's one of those that is on my TBR list, but I don't remember if I read it or not.  Hmm.  Oh, and I reread Sexy Silk.  Because I just love that part where

I finished Rabbit Heart and I though it was pretty good if you like a famous Bella. It is complete but isn't marked as such because the author was going to post an outtake, that didn't happen.

It has been hard to accept that the hopes and dreams I had for my son will never happen. I can't call him and lecture him to make better choices or that when he is ready I am there with any help he may want from me.  I told him that if he wanted help, I was there and would "go to the mat for him". In the end it wasn't enough and it just sucks bad. I am a fixer type person, but I couldn't fix this for him.

2 Blue lines is on my TBR list but I have already read Coming to Terms by Ginny31. If 2 Blue Lines is just as good, I will have to move it up the TBR list.....once I get back to working on that and not re-reading favs that is.

Oh, and I'm watching a lot of Olympics.  It is always funny to me how I will watch sports I never watch just because it is the Olympics.  What is really exciting about cross country skiing?  And curling?  No one watches curling. Mostly because they don't televise either of these on any kind of regular basis.   :D

I do find it funny that though I mostly cheer for the Americans and the Canadians (my mother's country) I will cheer for any athlete that tries hard...  Does anyone else do that?  Are you all watching?

As an American living in Austria the Olympics are always interesting to watch, since I normally get to pick between watching the Austrian, German or Swiss coverage and the other day they were all showing ski jumping. There is also a Europe wide chanel that this year has expanded to 5 different channels, of course at one time they were showing curling on 3 of those.  So I cheer for Austrians also as my host country.

The Austrians usually do well in the Winter Olympics - at least the skiing stuff.  I think my biggest shock so far was the German luge guy (Loch) not even placing.  He is usually at the top.

I'm also enjoying all the snowboarding stuff.   Not so much the ski and shoot. (biathalon)   :violent-smiley-007:

I just watched the replay of the luge since I saw the result and had to see how it could have happened.  Its hard to see such jubilation and such sadness, but both Austria and the US were surprises, so it was fun to watch.

Winter Olympics are definitely a much bigger deal here than the summer games.  They actually show biathlon on the tv here not in Olympic years, but not as much as the alpine events or ski jumping.

Yes, you could tell they didn't know whether to be so excited that they won, but somewhat sad for Loch.  I think there was shock too that he messed up so much.

The women's moguls are on now.  This newer stuff is kind of fun.  And it is snowing.  Though it looks like our expected winner may not be doing as well?  Oh well.  My only complaint has been all the repeated stuff and not showing the full parts of what I want to see.  I seem to remember they had more stuff on in prior Olympics.  Yesterday and today has been 3 stations all playing the same stuff in a staggered way.  I know this because I have been recording it on the DVD and watch them on fast forward until I see something new - I don't.  And it could be because the downhill stuff all got cancelled due to wind.  Maybe they planned on playing that and didn't record the rest of it?  I need to look online.  Maybe it is there   :-\ somewhere.

I think I reread that one every year up until this year.  Yes, Renee is totally crazy in that one.  But it is a great story.  The other HS fic I really enjoyed was Tropic of Virgo by InaBlueBathrobe.  I read them around the same time and tend to think of them together.

I do know what you mean though.  There are still a few oldies I haven't yet read.  I mean besides Emancipation Proclamation, which I tried to read but, yeah, no.  Not my thing.

Ok good, I'm excited, I need something good. I can't figure out how to insert spoiler on the new app, but yeah... the accident just happened.
Ooo... Tropic of Virgo, thats a good one! It's been so long since I've read it though, I need to put it back on my ipad.

I loved EP... only read it the one time though, but it was good. Just REALLY long

But i did love EP and Offside despite the evil Carlisle.

LOL!  I call myself an Angst-wimp, but I think it is more of a "don't like the torture, but like the getting better"  Like in Wisp - I was good with the Wisp story, but when she posted the background story on her blog?  I couldn't read it. It was too much.

Also, I don't like reading stories where I really want to grab a gun and shoot one of the main characters.  Or all of them. Like I did with EP :P

Loner was another good one.  Similar to MoTU background, but high school age.  Did you ever read Fridays at Noon?  I actually liked it better than MoTU.  It was better written, but didn't have the BDSM themes.

Loved Pennyward! It’s the more angstier ones i’ve steered clear off, Dusty, Hit by Destiny, grasping Darkness, wisp et al.

Haven’t heard of Loner. Will look for it in your google drive.

Am actually pathetic and hope I don’t get kicked out from this thread as i only read 7 twifics in 2017.  :-\  8) :(
I find most twifics too long, it takes forever for me to finish unless i really like the author such as Drotuno who still thankfully writes twific. Come to think of it, has she finished the last Mercward? I just realized am no longer getting alerts from fictionpad! Am off to investigate....

Ok, she’s at Chapter 15... gives me time to read the other 3. I only got around to re-reading Blood & Glory last year.

I've been all over the place over the last year.  Still reading twifics, but also Pride & Prejudice fics, and Dramione fics.  Not to mention I have Kristen Ashley books on constant rotation.

I am soooo with you in the constant rotation of KA books! I am sometimes “ruined” for other authors. I read her when i am in a book slump. But after re-reading her work, the more difficult it is for me to choose my next book.  :-\

I find when I read non-twifics, they tend to be mysteries.  Mostly paranormal ones.  But I also love Catherine Coulter's FBI series, which I am behind on.

Booked, you might like Geekchic's Plowed - It is pretty short.  It is in my drive.  Not really angsty.  Edward had some bad things happen to him when he was younger.

Loner is long.  And probably angsty.  But it was past stuff.  Like Torn - which you probably haven't read because it is still a WIP.

Jack & Crush by MeteorOnA MoonlessNight was good and only about 40K words.
The Traveler by MidnightLove87 is 74K words.  This is an Olderward.  And a little different
Personalities in Disorder by winterhorses - this one was cute and under 34K words.  Only 5 chapters!  I think it is a OS that got away from her.  :D

Okay, that should get you started :)

Have you ever noticed that in all the mob/biker stories the men keep saying that in their "culture" that women are revered, not targeted?  Yet in all of those stories, women get targeted?

Have you ever noticed that in all the mob/biker stories the men keep saying that in their "culture" that women are revered, not targeted?  Yet in all of those stories, women get targeted?
And this is why I never read the Mobward stuff and rarely read biker stories.  :P

Gangs of boys never ends up well.   ;D

Figure skating is starting.  Was thinking the Australian team was very awkward, especially going into the death spiral.  But then the announcers pointed out that there were only a couple of pairs from Australia that competed to go to the Olympics.  It is definitely not easy to do.  I do love the inside edge death spirals. That's the graceful one where they are almost flat to the ice.   So pretty.  ^-^
