Hey, does anyone have any Caveward or Primalwards stories you can recommend to me? I just finished Transcendence, and I can say I've found a new genre to explore.  Anyways, any advice is wanted and appreciated!

How are you doing?  My husband was looking at the weather and said it seemed to have stuck down there at the bottom of Texas.  I thought I'd better check on you! 

The flooding is pretty severe, including in places that don't usually flood.  The streets around my house are flooded, but I still have space between my house and the rising water.  I'll just have to pray that continues to be the case.  We are in a two story house, so that helps as well.  I do think it's going to get worse before it gets better.

We lived in this neighborhood, but in a different house, the last time Houston had a catastrophic rain event.  Our house did not flood then, and the house we're now in did not flood.  However, I think this one is going to be worse.  Right now, they're having to evacuate one of the big county hospitals.  Last time, the basements of all the hospitals in the medical center flooded, killed the animals in the various lab experiments, and the medical community lost years of research work.  I hope they've taken precautions this time.  Almost all the bayous that drain the city are out of their banks.  Lots of tornadoes in the area.  We're also having a Dunkirk moment.  The local governments are asking citizens with flat bottom boats and high wheel vehicles to donate their time and equipment to help evacuate people from flooded homes.  The state, in its infinite wisdom, waited to try to send help until all the roads were flooded.  Now they can't get here. Is anyone surprised?

Hey ficfangirl. Thought of you yesterday when I was waiting for my car at the dealership when they had an American channel on about the storm and flooding in Texas. I will keep you and yours in my prayers that you are all ok. I was living in Calgary when we had our major flood back in 2013 and it wasn't pretty. I feel for everyone in Texas that has already been affected.

Please be safe! That's a lot worse than I've ever experienced (which was about 10 inches overnight during Tropical Storm Frances in 1998 and my part of New Orleans flooded - I lived in a ground floor apartment at the time - of course it flooded! I've since moved to higher ground (the Poconos)). Please keep us posted with your situation so we'll know you're safe!

Bella is blind but has some sort of sixth sense that works when she takes of her shoes.  Not quite sure what is going on with this.  Something happened when she was 9 or so.  Charlie is overprotective to the point it is annoying.  The Cullens are vampires, Edward gets the mate feeling right away but doesn't recognize it... the usual stuff.  The problems I'm having have to do with the fact that the writer's first language is definitely not English.  Just checked, she is from Sweden.  She is also young, at least when she wrote this, in that she is talking about taking exams in the AN.  So the writing gets very repetitive and the grammar/wording is off to the point I find myself correcting it in my head.  So even though the plot idea is interesting, i keep looking for something else to read.  Hence the amnesia fics.....
