Hello all,

I hope I'm putting this in the right place - I'm hoping for some recommendations. I'm looking for fics that focus on Bella's first foray through high school post change (not where she's a vamp before meeting the Cullens.) How she and Edward (or Jasper if non-canon) deal with admirers/jealousy/teachers/general human interaction etc. The second part of the Angel series by drotuno deals with it to some degree and is a good example of what I'm looking for, but just more focused on that aspect.

I've read Sideline and The Office already and have had Creature saved for a while, but haven't gotten into it yet. I'll definitely give it another chance though. I really love high school Jerkwards too, like Hit By Destiny (perfection), Fourteen, and Bottled Lies. Anything like that and I'll cry of happiness

I like it, has that Olderward I was looking for ..... I have like 9 chapters left and there's an AN saying that this fic will have a sequel where the issues B&E have will be resolved  😩

Why would somebody do this, why?

The sequel has 2 chapters so far. So should I finis? Should I just give up and forget I've spent my morning reading a fic with no ending. Who knows I give up.

Being the good friend I am  (and having the inability to remember stuff later) I checked the last chapter.  Yeah, it doesn't seem to have an "end"  though they appear to be together and happy.  Actually, reading the last chapter, it seemed like an epilogue so I went back a few chapters and I see Bella moves in but they don't appear to be married.  So not a real HEA?  Well, depending on your idea of an HEA....

I guess that's a hea ending to some people (including me) but sometimes it's not enough when I think sequel I think them happy and facing new challenges... not resolving the ones they had.

I was also looking at Crowded by Hoodfabulous. Beginning of the story she warns that it has triggers so  I was about to read but I cheked the summary and there was no B&E tag. So I went to the last chapter and read the ending and it was really confusing like there is more to it but it was last chapter so Thinking it was an outtake went back one more but it was the same.

So now I'm wondering if there's a new trend of leaving fics with no ending in the fanfic community. Somebody needs to tell me if this is happening.

Ella, you're not being threatened by the wildfires, are you? 

No, they are on the other side of the mountain from us, thank goodness.  Those wildfires can be very scary. There was a lot of rain and thunder today though.  We don't usually have this kind of weather in the summer.  I'd say there was a little flooding in the streets, but frankly, compared to what you have?  It was puddles. But the phone kept going off with flash flood alerts. 

How are things going with you?

We're all well.  Really, the biggest problem for me is that so many businesses are closed because employees are displaced.  Services and supplies we take for granted are not yet available.  Basics are hit and miss at the store.  Same issue at the office with services and supplies.  It feels normal where I live, but venturing out even a little bit - even to eat out - you find out quickly that it's not normal.

Any one know any good Olderward fics. I say good because I don't want a horndog and some daddy thrown in the mix . If you do let me know.
