Hi Rose, welcome to the discussion thread. You need to post over on the search thread. Actually, you should search on the search thread to see if anyone has posted it. Ficfangirl updates the index about once a month or so, so newer pulled fics that may have been loaded won't be in the index. Just search on the thread only. Here's the link. I've been trying to read the story Distractions by windchymes for a while now, but first I wanted to know if it's a good story and if it has a HEA, I love Bella/Edward and I don't usually read angst stories, so what do you guys thinks of this story? Is it romantic or angsty? Is it completely B/E or are there other people involved?

Read anything from Windchymes. They all are HEA’s and the angst is not bad at all, like barely a hint that gives you the feels. I’ve read all her fics and they are so good! So well written and so long but not long enough!

Seriously I love all her fics once you read that one read the other ones.

this is a fantastic story and does have HEA. Does have some angst, but it all has a purpose

I just read the first 20 pages or so and while commentary is interesting for a bit, does it pretty much restate the whole book, it was getting a bit bogged down to me at least.

Yeah it is just them reading the books if you go to fanfiction you can read Eternal Sunrise. That is a story about what bella and Edward would be like having been forwarned

I've had that problem with all the "reading Twilight" types books. I want to like it, but yeah, too much restating.

Have you read carano that is one of my favourites grand trilogy is fantastic you can get straight into that story I'm a bit like that if I can't get it to it in the first 2 chapters I can't read it.

I'm so going to read these after I finish with the
Reading Twilight by Choices HP series

The Choices HP series is my favorite of that genre (reading Twilight books) and I've read it a couple of times. I'm trying Reboot by Diana Law right now, but I'm not very engaged. Might just be bad timing on my part because I'm having difficulty connecting. I have about 10 books/series that I'm currently shuffling through.

Have you read carano that is one of my favourites grand trilogy is fantastic you can get straight into that story I'm a bit like that if I can't get it to it in the first 2 chapters I can't read it.

I was watching the news and Lester Holt was in Vegas talking about his first assignment covering the fire at the MGM Grand. It was a little jolting to have this immediate connection to that event based solely on having read Carano's stories. The very real tragedy of the MGM is alive with the deaths of fictional characters.

I encourage you to maybe start over reading Reboot and read it straight through - it's really delightful - it's mostly (in my memory) fluffity fluff fluff fluff, but overall to me it was like cotton candy in the sea of angst that I usually read. It was incredibly, yet sweetly, erotic too - you'll see!

I'll probably go read it again now, since you brought it up!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my fellow Canadian's & honary Canadians celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend!! This is our first Thanksgiving without my son and to be honest I am really struggling. He should be here enjoying my homemade pies and bread. RIP my son you are gone but never forgotten...

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my fellow Canadian's & honary Canadians celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend!! This is our first Thanksgiving without my son and to be honest I am really struggling. He should be here enjoying my homemade pies and bread. RIP my son you are gone but never forgotten...

Happy Thanksgiving to you! Sorry it brings sadness, I'd say it gets better but really, it is just less painful. Things like holidays will always be harder than regular days because of all the specific memories.

This one I really loved. It doesn't feel like a retelling because they start with the memory from the first time and fix where it all went wrong the first time. It is one of my favorites.

Are you talking about carano's or choices?

I love Reboot by Diana Law. I haven't read Carano's Grand trilogy. I loved her What's up Doc? And the related story.

I've never gotten into Choices HP's series though I tried to read it a few times.

As an FYI, Deb Rotuno just announced she is starting a new Mercward story. It may be time to reread the series. ...

That is the Gravity series by drotuno.

Has anyone noticed the excessive use of ’cause in carano’s fics? It drives me crazy! I tried reading Simply Edward because I remember it being short and sweet but in every chapter small as they are she uses the word ‘cause. I started it about a week ago and have not finished it.

I've noticed the same thing as I'm re-reading The Grand Trilogy and she does the same thing in that, but I can/have overlooked it as I like the fic so much.
It would annoy the hell out of me if I couldn't get into the fic though.

I was thinking the same thing, not like I need an excuse to read Mercward.
