I was recently channel surfing and watched the ending of Working Girl with Melanie Griffith playing Tess.  Then, a week or so later I was watching Fifty Shades Darker.  After Ana takes over Jack Hyde's job, she has a conversation with her assistant that is word for word the same as the conversation Tess has with her assistant in Working Girl.  A little inside Hollywood joke to have Dakota quote one of her mother's roles.

I had to rewind FSD to make sure I heard Ana correctly.... so clever!!
ps: I can post  :)

I never noticed that, then again it's been years since I watched WG, I try not to watch it too often as Let The River Run by Carly Simon (the theme song) gets stuck in my head for ages afterwards. ^-^ :D

I'm now gonna have to watch both or at least the ending of both of them.

So with all of the hardships me and my family have had to deal with this year, like the hubby being out of work and my son passing away  I managed to get a promotion at work. I am an insurance broker and up until now I have been on the support side, not having clients of my own, just helping everyone elses clients. With the promotion I have my own clients and book of business. Hopefully I can handle it.

Keep your chin up, believe in yourself! Remember, they wouldn’t have promoted you if you didn’t deserve it.  :) CONGRATULATIONS on your promotion!!  :bravo_2:

Everyone has told me that I have always done the job and that all that really changed was my own book and my own clients. I can see their point, but in my head if feels different. The management is pretty excited about me finally being willing to step up to the plate, so to speak. I am just going to try do my best.

I guess I’m the only one who hasn’t read Drotuno’s book. I’ll have to check them out, you all have given rave reviews. I’m finishing up grave digger series...soo funnny..
I just noticed that we now have new “ranks” on PTS...I’m a Vip.....lol.
Have a good week everyone.
So either I missed an email, or I'm not getting them again, but I am late to the party here.

I took a while to read Mercward.  I'm not so much into this type of story for my Twilight characters. I guess I was afraid it would be too Mafia like.  But Deb tells a good story, so it was much better than I expected.  And once Bella and Edward are together, there aren't any games, misunderstandings, etc...  The drama is all outside the relationship.  And Edward is so sweet.

So what is the Grave Digger series?  I guess I can google it.  I like funny paranormal stuff.  ;D

hey

I was wondering if anybody can recommend a few good Bella Edward stories filled with lemony goodness. they can be WIP still on FF.net or up for download here. Doesn't matter  :)

thanks
I tend to skim lemons, so I'm probably not the best person to ask.  Anything by Lolashoes tends to be full of lemons.  Drotuno writes good ones, but it usually takes a bit to get there.  Once they have lemons? They are every chapter just about. The best lemons are usually the OS contests.   Something like this one is good - You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Do you want all human or is Vampward good?

Still haven’t started her books yet, but soon.
Darynda Jones’ paranormal series. I typically don’t like paranormal, but her writing is on point! Funny and engaging. I guarantee you’ll love it. I also love love Nalini Singh. Cannot rec those authors enough. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Congrats Tricklem....believe in your worth, it’s obvious your superiors do.

Convoluted story... I came across this video and really loved it. I also liked the words of the song, especially

Quote
I don’t want them to know the secrets
I don’t want them to know the way I loved you
I don’t think they’d understand it, no
I don’t think they would accept me, no

I loved and I loved and I lost you
I loved and I loved and I lost you
I loved and I loved and I lost you
     And it hurts like hell
     Yeah, it hurts like hell

The video says the song is Hurts Like Hell by Fleurie, but when I looked it up, Fleurie is a female singer. I found other videos of the song credited to Nightcore, though I'm gathering that's some kind of manga/graphic novel character.? IDK.

Anyway, I was rereading Tara Sue Me's The Submissive, and this song with those words seemed so appropriate when they split up.

It's definitely Alex, after doing some searching through the comments the peep who uploaded it said they used fashion commercials to put the video together, but I don't know which ones though.  ;D

I've been reading a lot more twifics lately. Feels like pulling on an old pair of jeans that somehow got lost in the closet.

I strongly recommend The Protector by hikingurl. It's not what I thought it would be (some kind of dystopian monster fic), so I'm glad I gave it a chance. It's an Edward coming-of-age story in an agrarian world. I really enjoyed it, and am glad to see it's in the top 10 running for twifanfictionrecs' October poll.

The Protector by hikingurl
In a dystopian world where civilization barely survives, Edward has spent his entire life training to protect his society, his family, and the girl who has captured his heart.
