Hey, there. New here.

Hi there. Just found this place while hunting down some old fanfics. Google sent me here but every link or pdf was "you cannot read this until you register" :/ so I did. I don't even remember how I found fanfic, but it was a way of prolonging living in the world of a certain vampire book series once it was over. I started off with the same ones everyone was reading at the time, poorly written and down right smutty. A few  years ago I finally found my way to the really well written ones with plot and everything! I'm a real book hold out, no Ereaders for me.

Welcome.  The guys in Fanfic Alley are really nice and helpful.  Enjoy.

I understand what you are saying.  Until last year, I only read hard copy books.  In Jan there was an ereader on sale for 33 bucks with taxes and it was a 129 dollar one.  I figured if I didn't like it, the niece who goes to the gym every morning at 5 a.m would love it.  She could take it and read while she waited to start work.    I've never looked back.  I now have series I use to fuss to get and books that I could never find in hard copy.

You know what the real sell was?  I was watching a show on the BBC about books and ebooks  concerning the future of book format.  They showed a very large book van.  They proudly announced that there were 2500 books in that van.  I looked at my ereader.  I had 5000 books on it.  And I can up up to 30 MORE GIGs on that book if I buy a 32 gig card.   THAT sold me.

Now I go past the book shelf in the local store which has about 75 books on it and snicker.  It's a brave new world for me and I wonder why I waited to try it so long.

Offline GG drypen!

Hello to you!
