Hi Olga, love the Sookie Stackhouse books.  Have all of them in hardcover.  Have you seen True Blood on tv?  Season 4 should just about be done showing here in Canada.   :)

Just checked HBO Canada website and I guess I am watching season 5.  I always have to watch a recorded ep. as I work straight nights.  By your avatar, I take it you like Eric.  lol  Personally I think he`s sexier in the book and more of a bad boy.  One`s imagination is a wonderful thing.  Usually there is 12 eps so how does Sookie save the boys this time.  Not sure what the cliffhanger will be this season.  One of my favorite characters is Lafayette.  Glad they haven`t knocked him off.

I'm quite disappointed in how the show changed its course from the source material. I love the books so much better! Though Lafayette and Jessica were great additions. I love Andy and Jason too in this season  :-*

Yes, I agree that the story line is no longer following the books.  I read a lot of books and memory isn't what it used to be but wasn't Lafayette knocked off in the books.  I thought his body was found dead in a car.  On the tv version this happened but he wasn't dead.  Sometimes I feel very sorry for Andy.  He means well.  Claudette, Sookie's faire godmother has come late into the tv show.  Even the faires aren't what they are in the books.  Tv and movies are never as good as the books.  I also watch Game of Thrones on HBO and I like the actors\actresses they chose for the parts.  No one stands out as "thats not how I pictured the character".  So much gets dropped from the books.  In both shows, still a good watch.

Yeah I think Lafayette was killed in the 1st or 2nd book. I'm really glad they kept him.

Hi Drypen, Lafayette has really added to the show.  Comic relief at times when the show has so many dark, bloody moments.  He plays his part so well, lmao.

Exactly! Not to mention that he is so handsome. His smirk is killer!
