Hi annie11 & flyangelaway,
Welcome to the STP community!

Nice to meet you! Historical fiction is very popular here! Hopefully you will find many new books and authors to read. The introduce yourself section is not the place to request or upload. That would be the general section. Feel free to repost there.  :)
Please read the following threads & hints. This works for all members but should help with with the basics:

Some tricks for searching: Use either the book, series or author. To bring up Advanced Search enter just 1 letter. Also putting "quotation marks" around the name, author or series will help narrow the search as well. Searching is tricky but do your best.

Do you see a thread you want to follow? Use the notify button. It will email you when something is posted in that thread!

Downloading a book? Please take a moment to click the Thank You button. It's the least you can do for the kind person who took the time & spent their money to upload it. :)

If you don't remember who to contact and you would like to get our attention, just start a post "Requesting Mr. Admin/Mod Help Please" and one of us will be along shortly.:D

I don't know if you can really count it as historical romance but have you read Fire by Kristin Cashore and Game of thrones. :)

Hi Annie,

Welcome to STP, you're gonna love it here. ;D
If you love historical romance, I would recommend reading Stephanie Larens.
Her 'Reasons for Marriage' and The Cynster Bar Series are real good.
Give it a try when you have time, you gonna love it. ;)

I have read stephanie laurens first book in the cynster series the 'Devils Bride'.Although many people seem to love this series i cant connect with a hero who is named Devil whose cousins are named Scandal,Vain and Demon. There was no verbal sparring or humor so the story was quiet flat IMO.I once read a book with a hero named Harry Pye!i mean seriously lolz...i like heros who have sexy manly names like Clayton,Jordan,Alexander etc.....Devil was find but no Scandal or Vain.

Okay, mabye you should try 'Tiger's eye' by Karen Robards (it's great) , I think that's closer too what you're looking for. :)
Wild Orchid by Cameron Donkey is not one of my favorite books, but it's not bad. It's a retelling of mulan.

I agree with the no humor part. I read the same book and I just couldn't continue since I didn't find that I could connect with it.
I also love historical romance so I defenitly recommend Julia Quinn, Laura Lee Guhrke, Elizabeth Hoyt, Lisa Kleypas, Eloisa James, and Sabrina Jeffries.
