Doctor Who, you favorite Doctor
« on: March 27, 2013, 09:39 PM »
I'm an enthusiatic whovian and know that at least a handfull of you watch Doctor Who.
I don't like this relatively new Doctor, the 11th, Matt Smith, cant wait to see him gone for good. Dont know why there are so many people fussing over him.

Wich is your favorite Doctor, including the classic series if you watched?

Mine is the 10th, the dreamy, awesome, drool inducing David Tennant.

I love, love, LOVED David Tennant as the doctor but I have a soft spot for Matt Smith as well. I know a lot of people don't fancy him but *meh* I like him and he may just be my favorite which seems like blasphemy :D

I'm re-watching the series with Christopher Eccleston as the doctor because I never really studied him much.

I liked Eccleston, but his best scene for me is the regeneration, when he became Tennant. Let me know when you finished rewatching. For me it was such a surprise. I just downloaded Doctor Who because of Dr. Reid, in another series, Criminal Minds, so I didnt know about regenerations and stuff. I was "WHAT? They will kill the guy? In the first season? Now that I like him already?"
But tell me, David Tennant and Billie Piper, The Doctor and Rose Tyler, they are a great coupple arent they? Better then River Song and the 11th...

I started watching thanks to an old re-run on SyFy. I watched the one random episode and then I went and checked out the rest. I personally never fancied river with the doctor, it was a bit weird to be honest like they didn't suit each other. I don't think anything can be on the same level as the doctor and rose

I kind of like the chemistry between Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman so far...

Having watched Dr Who since the very beginning    My favourite Doctors would have to be

1)  David Tennant   (10th Dr)
2)  Patric Troughton (2nd Dr)
3)  John Pertwee      (3rd Dr)
4)  William Harntell   (1st Dr)

My favourite Companions are

1)   Donna Noble   Catherine Tate
2)   Jamie McCrimmin   Frazer Hine
3)  Jark Harkness     John Barrowman

Who doesn't love Tennant? He just IS the Doctor... I like the 1st too, the others between him and the 8th I'm still getting to know.

The episodes of the classic series that I downloaded are not in awesome quality so sometimes I get a litlle bored but I'm watching anyway.

Donna is great, but I love Rose. The companions of the classic series are a bit boring, I guess it is a reflexe of what was thought about women back then. The granddaughter is particularly annoing... The only companion of the new series that I really don't thing has any strong suit is Martha Jones. I even pitty her a litlle cause of her crush...

I used to be a huge fan. I went to conventions in the 90s. I love Peter Davison, Tom Baker, David Tennant and Jon Pertwee. I stopped watching with Matt Smith because its just dire. Just hate the way it has gone now.

I'm still hopefull that once Matt Smith is gone the series will be back to being awesome. Besides, there is the 50th anniversary...

We know John Hurt is going to be a Who but they are debating if he is the future Who or the Time Wars Who

I would really, really appreciate if they brought back Tennant.

And I'm sooo excited for the 50th anniversary!!! I can barely wait.

I absolutely LOVE Doctor Who!!!
I loved Chris Eccleston and David Tennant as the Doctor, but even though I think Matt Smith is a bit ridiculous and I was glad when he left, I love the Moffat episodes!
I'm currently trying to catch up with the previous Doctors and it's very difficult for me as I get bored quickly and the first season is dragging. I've decided to play around and watch a bit here and there.
I quite like Paul McGann, although I thought the movie was atrocious! The audio adventures are quite awesome and I'm trying to decide which book to start reading. I'm hoping some of the novelizations of the first Doctor might have a bit more oomph...
Although I think River Song is amazing, I hate the 'romance' between her and the Doctor. It just doesn't gel for me. I'm a Rose Tyler fan to the end!

I just discovered Dr. Who this year and love it. My favorite Dr. (who doesn't love him) is David Tennant. We named our crazy English Angora after him (The Doctor) and his mate Rose. They just had a TON of lovely fluffy babies and we're watching the old series with them as Netflicks gets them in our country. I may name more of our kits after the other companions.  :o We had chocolates at Easter in the shape of Daleks and Police Booths. :D My favorite companions were the Ponds. :P They drove me mad, but I was sad when their story with the Doctor ended.

If you have the time and patience to research and actually make the thing there are several other DIY you can do with the Doctor universe in mind. Imagine a closed bookshelf that play the theme song when you open it? I, unfortunately, don't have the talent to do it.  :'(

My favorite is David Tennant.  When he left the show, I disliked Matt Smith for the longest time, mostly because he wasn't *my* doctor.  LOL  But somewhere along the way, I started liking 11 more.  That might be because I liked Amy & Rory so much.  And River.  I miss the Ponds... and Rose... and Donna.

I will NOT however, miss Clara.  She annoys the heck out of me.
I tried to beat my reading addiction... worst two minutes of my life.

Never judge a book by its movie.
