Anyone played the Epic Mickey game?

I was wondering if anyone has played Epic Mickey and if so what you thought? I was thinking about buying it but have only heard negative reviews on it from friends......

I hear it's okay. They say Mickey's body is outside of the screen a lot of the time during game play, so you have to figure out how to do some stuff without seeing his body.

I wouldn't buy it because of that alone. I hate not being able to see my character (which is why I don't like playing first person shooter games).

we have both the wii version and the 3ds version and both of my boys(8,6) love the game. It's one they go back to. We have tons of games that just get forgotten and this one hasn't.

I played Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion on the 3DS and it's pretty simplistic, the levels are rather repetitive. The graphics are nice and the scenery changes, but it's overall too kiddy for me. It's be good for a 6-11 year old I think. :)

I have played the original Epic Mickey on the Wii and it has been one of my favorite games of all time. I can say I am playing through it for a second and third time for the pins and extras that I missed.

It is a game you can't help but enjoy over and over again especially if you want to learn more about a pre-Mickey Mouse Era.
